One problem I find is that its hard to play games on my ipod touch simply because the devise is so small and my hands are so big. This seems like a cool case for 10 bucks, but I'm not sure if this would inhibit my ability to just throw the ipod in my pocket.
Does any one have any experience with one of these cases?

It almost looks like a gameboy case, not the gamebow advance SP.
Hmm...it looks to bluky, though.

I have this DLO one - looks like it might be similar?
http://dlo.com/products/view/JJGame_touch2G
I like it, i actually got it because it was cheap - and open item at Best Buy so it was $13. I needed something to put on there because the kids were pestering me to use it.
Well, i've gotten wayyyyy used to the thicker ends, that now that there is a second Touch in the house - i'm lost with my neked one! I have my heart set on buying the SwitchEasy Torrent - but i'm worried i will really miss the thicker ends.
Now, the DLO is thick enough i'd say it's not easily "pocketed". But frankly, the grip it adds doesn't matter - and I don't really have any pockets it would fit in any. I slip it in my purse occasionally (because, i carry it occasionally), or just carry from spot to spot... which is a pain.
I can also say that the Touch survived a 4 foot fall onto cement in the DLO a couple of weeks ago too! Pretty sure it bounced on a corner before landing face up.
If i came across a DLO for $10 - i'd get it in a heartbeat!
Not sure if that helps at all though :D

Funny that there wasn't a thread on this earlier. And I have that elite case. As a matter of fact, I'm typing on it right now. It's ok but doesn't really give you that much grip

Exact same color. It's really good for gaming. It offers really nice grip and it absorbs a little bit of sweat. It's not too thick maybe 1mm but that's it. Check it out!

Yeah I've got a cheapo case that at least provides grip. I'm looking for a little thickness and maybe an ergonomic type case.
The one I posted at the top offers that, but I have a 3rd gen and its for a 2nd gen. I see a lot cases that say 2nd and 3rd gen so I assume it'll probably work. I know the 3rd gen is a little bit thicker but probably not enough to make a difference.

I have these Belkin Ergo Grips for my iPod Touch 3G without the hand strip - it's not a typo -I have all 3 colors :-)
It's very solid, the "rips" give you a good grip.
You can't see it on the picture, but it covers the black area from the bottom to just over the Home-button too

Yes. In the middle of the device where the rips is smaller the case is thinner.
No, I have not large hands, but one of my friends has, and he uses the same case after he tried one of mine.

I would recommend against getting them. They wear out if you use your ipod a decent amount. My dad had one for his iphone, completely trash after 2 months. Slipped off the iphone easily, no grip, color faded, bendy as hell. I had one too it fared a little bit better but I just got so fed up trying to get it out of my pockets, I trashed it. Now I'm sticking with my naked ipod or a hard case.

I've got it narrowed down to the Incipio 1337 and the Belkin Ergo. Anyone have experience with these two to make recommendations before I buy?
The Belkin one that includes a wrist strap is really nice.
I use the DLO Gaming one(Jampad?), it comes with a strap but the strap sucks. The DLO Jampad though is a really nice case if you don't mind the extra thickness.
I have an invisible shield on the front and back, and keep it in the DLO Game Case with the strap from the Belkin case, and I carry that in a padded camera case.

I use a case, and I do appreciate the bit of added "bulk" just to hold on to. One thing I would mention, and I don't know if most cases are like this, but mine covers the iPod front and back except for the buttons and a "window" for the screen. This window is the issue that I thought was worth a warning. Because the case is a mm or two thick, and because the window "frame" comes right to the very edge of the screen, it sometimes makes it difficult to touch something - like a game button - that is very close to the edge of the screen. It would work better if the case stopped a bit short of the edge of the screen or thinned the material as it neared the edge.
Just something to consider.

That's one of the reasons why I prefer the Belkin Ergo Grip. (see #10)
There is 1 mm space between the case-frame and the screen.

I saw the belkin at best buy today and it for sure isn't adding the thickness on the ends like the DLO. The DLO just makes it so nice to hold (I have long fingers).
I'd buy the DLO for the $20 in a heartbeat. I think I have a picture of the DLO on my comp that I posted on MR. I'll go check in a bit.
I didn't have the picture i thought i had - so i did this one real quick. My 3rd gen is the neked one, the 2nd gen is in the DLO. I added a penny to the picture for size reference.... and really, i should go take it with a real camera! LOL!!

I'm not a big eBay fan, it's a personal problem i guess! LOL!!
Thanks for the Amazon link - i'd just checked to see if they had any.
I have taken the time to express my displeasure to Otterbox, and have decided that i'm not going to hunt one down at this point. I just think it stinks - i was often recommending it to parents as the case that made the Touch ok to buy for the kids. I personally think they bowed out of the Touch market sooner than they should have. I can assume it was sales based - but the sheer number of Touches i know that were bought just this CHristmas says that the younger market is just coming into it's prime.
ANYWAY.... the DLO is working for the kids for now. HOping to add a 3rd one to the house in a few weeks - and it will need a kid proof case in a big way. I might have to eat my words and hunt one down....

i have question. i use a leather case for my touch. it has a flap on it that i flip up sorta like a star trek communicator. it protects the screen. iv notice a lot of these do not have flaps to protect the screen. as anyone had a problem with screen getting trashed? the only thing i dis like about my case is playing games the flap that covers the screen you have to fold it behind and makes it so uncomfortably.. iv learn to deal with it. but am considering a new case if screen is tougher than im thinking. iv read some of you guys just throw your ipod in your back pack, no problems?
chris.
I have an invisibleshield on the screen and back, with the DLO Gamejacket around that, then I carry it on my hip in a padded camera case (which is just big enough to hold a set of headphones and a backup battery pack.)
Never had a problem with the screen getting scratched, but I'm really careful with my toy.

The iPod screen is amazingly durable. That being said I would never throw mine in my back pack, but my back pack has a padded pocket made for mp3 players so I put it in there if its the only thing in there. Also, I put a clear protective cover on my screen the day I bought it and would never leave home without one of those. You can get them super cheap on Amazon and they don't sacrifice any responsiveness on the touch screen.
http://www.amazon.com/Grantwood-Technologys-Touch-Screen-Protector/dp/B0028295R2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1264520802&sr=1-1
On another note, I finally got the DLO Jam Jacket Game

I love the extra thickness is adds, and the mega thick ends are excellent for racing games. Also, there is a little space between the edges of the screen and where the case starts, which to me is essential for gaming as lots of bottoms and joysticks are right on the edge of the screen. The only problem I have is that it doesn't add much grip. I find it sliding off my hands if I don't hold it tightly.
For this reason I may go for the Belkin Ergo.

I have Belkin Ergo cases without the strip.
There is a little breathing room, ca. 1,5 milimeters on the bottom and 2 mm on the left and right side.
It adds a little thickness to give the firm grip where the ribs are wider, and is thinner in the middle of the case.

I have the Switcheasy Torrent case for mine... I never thought I could fall in love with some silicone and a bit of plastic, even the included screen protectors rock!
But there is something that has been bothering me and that's a possible overheating issue with using these cases. The metel ipod back works great for extracting heat but slap some foam or rubber on and it acts like a blanket trapping the heat... should I be worried or am I just a paranoid weird kinda guy?

I just found a new DLO one. It even can give you a boost on AA batteries.
Here is the GameCase Boost:
GameCase Boost features contoured handles and tactile finish for improved grip and control for an even better gaming experience. More than a case, it gives you the power boost you need for gaming, movies, surfing, music and more.
Since it works with two AA batteries (included), it’s easy to have the extra power to recharge – wherever you are. When you want to kick back and enjoy a video, the case doubles as a stand for hands-free viewing.

Looks better than my incipio 1337 gamer case. How much extra battery life does it
give?
Doesn't say. I will report when I get it. This thing will be a lifesaver on long trips and I plan to use the other while on charger.

i have question. i use a leather case for my touch. it has a flap on it that i flip up sorta like a star trek communicator. it protects the screen. iv notice a lot of these do not have flaps to protect the screen. as anyone had a problem with screen getting trashed? the only thing i dis like about my case is playing games the flap that covers the screen you have to fold it behind and makes it so uncomfortably.. iv learn to deal with it. but am considering a new case if screen is tougher than im thinking. iv read some of you guys just throw your ipod in your back pack, no problems?
chris.
I have that one lol.
Marware - It's actually easy to hold the flap if you fold the flap over and put your fingers in between the flap and the rest of the case. Just hold the sides or the clip at the back.
a defender would be nice but iphone covers don't fit ipods. (Different placements of outside things) and there doesn't seem to be any screen protection.

Sorry to revive an older topic but I'm looking for some advice concerning iPod Touch cases. I was in Sears the other day and came across this (http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05793028000P?prdNo=10&blockNo=10&blockType=G10). I was wondering if anyone's had any experience using this. I mainly like the simple kick stand and the fact that it's a case. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
