Underground for the iPhone is coming soon, it will be a side scrolling shoot ‘em’ up with a twist that should set it "aside from other shooters out there, graphically it pushes the expectations people may have for an iPhone game whilst using the iPhones unique input to create a full and deep shooter experience and incorporating an intriguing story."

If one proceeds with that assumption, one would also have to assume that the "?" implies some ambiguity to the placement of this game in the genre you suggest...

Shame Youtube doesnt have HD yet, I'm not keen on its quality, the link goes to a better quality quicktime, also although this is a prerender the ingame graphics are no different :D

Sweet, I have no idea as to what exactly the game is about but I'm excited!
Shoot 'em Up sounds sweet and are the dots with the locations next to "Coming Soon" any indication of what's to be included in the game?

One does have youtube options of SD, HQ, and HD...

Have mission based assignments for a skateboard riding dude to tag/erase the walls of various subway stations while avoiding the cops and fighting against other gang members.

Here , the player would have to navigate the subway by getting on/off different trains at connecting stations (for simplicity the trains going in either direction would run on the same track, but come at different times).

Tagging/erasing could be accomplished with gestures. Player movement might be via an effective virtual D-pad. Fighting with the gangs members also might be via gestures, or contextual translucent keys that appear when needed.

Missions might increase in difficulty with # of cops to avoid, gang members to fight, and train connections to make.

A career mode might be established based on the success of the missions and time taken.

Sorry I should have been clearer, Its more features you would like to see in a game, price point, number of levels, hours of play, difficulty settings etc...

Then again, I can see how this could be difficult seeing as we've not yet made it clear what type of game it is ;)... or have we...

That sounds incredibly violent and I doubt Apple would really go for that. Now if they were zombies, then Apple would be okay. I know someone's going to say Payback is like that too, but Payback actually has a reason for knocking people off.:)

Price point: introductory price then raise it to its valued price when user feedback is incorporated into updates. Here you reward early adopters who help advance the game further.

Levels: for game longevity, the more the better, as long as they are truly varied.

Hours of gameplay: again more is better.

Difficulty settings: 2-3. at least easy/medium and hard. Easy to ease users into the gameplay. Hard to keep them coming back.

OK, now I'm lost again wrt to these images and the gameplay. The graphics of the "UFOs" outside of the train also depart in quality from that of the teaser videos and the first image.

Also, please do not make the shooting as simple as "tap to aim and shoot"

Its been a while since I updated this post due to working hard getting the levels down and tested.

We are also proud to announce graffiti artist Mister Frames is on board and has redesigned all the background graffiti featured in the game, he has worked for many blue chip clients in the past and I absolutely love his style! more of his work can be checked out here http://www.framerase.co.uk/

The game is complete, but since the arrival of 3.0 we've felt we needed to tweek and add a few more things which has delayed us submitting it to Apple, we should have something very VERY soon.
