Rolando 1 vs. Rolando 2?

Which should I get, if any? Just played Rolando 2 lite version and I loved it, but is Rolando 1 better? Also, how much playtime for each? Thank you!

Didn't like Rolando 1, but really liked the Rolando 2 lite version.

I have both games, beat both of them, and while I highly recommend both, Rolando 2 is definitely the better game.
It improves on everything from the original, and continues to be my favorite iPhone game to date.

I don't think you can even compare the two games. Rolando 1 was one of the first games to hit the App Store. Rolando 2 was released about a year later. Of course Rolando 2 would be better.

They're both great! Second one is 3D, that's the only major difference, there's a lite for each

Just one correction: I have heard from Tocarina that rolando 2 is in 2.5 D, so a mixture of 2 and 3D but that doesn't really matter. I bought the second one and also tested teh first one.

I was almost a bit overwhelmed by all of the stuff in 2, I kinda prefer 1 weirdly enough.

From wht I have read & understood, R1 is difficulter than R2

I enjoyed both Rolando 1 and 2. Rolando 1 is more difficult, but still not too hard. Rolando 2 has more play modes (underwater, riding in a cart, etc.). If I had to choose, I'd pick Rolando 2.

More than 2000 cheat/fake entries in the plus+ listings have ruined things a bit, but that may be the case for R2 as well - not sure, it's not on my iPhone anymore. R1 also has the added benefit of totally saving your progress between installs!

I thought this was weird that R1 saved your progress while R2 did not. Was there a reason for this? In any case, I thought R2 was more polished than R1, but R1 for me had longer replay value because of the bonus levels. R2 was a bit simpler than R1, though - so it serves strangely enough as a better intro to the game in some ways.
