Hello all,

I just submitted a huge update to IsoWords, and it will be available March 1st. Sales have been abysmal for IsoWords, and developing this app has been an arduous journey for me, so this is my last push. I would like to thank all the Touch Arcade members that have helped.

To celebrate the 1.1 update I would like to repeat a contest for promo codes that I did a few months ago (http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=35275&highlight=isowords). I am giving away 5 promo codes, and you can participate even if you won before (you will see why below).

IsoWords is the completely original word search game wrapped onto a cube for the iPhone. Find words on the cube, but the 3rd time a cube is used it will be removed from the game, revealing more letters inside.

The biggest changes in the 1.1 update are:

* BLUETOOTH/WIFI MULTIPLAYER: Play in 3 different game modes with up to 4 devices over Bluetooth or WiFi. The games can get pretty intense, and have caused a few squabbles between my friends.

* BLUETOOTH/WIFI & LITE: Sometimes it is hard to convince friends to get an app so that you can do Bluetooth/WiFi multiplayer. For this reason I allow the LITE version of IsoWords to participate in Bluetooth/WiFi games.

* GLOBAL LEADERBOARDS: There are now global leaderboards for top game scores AND top word scores.

* FACEBOOK/TWITTER INTEGRATION: If you connect the app to your Facebook/Twitter account you will also see the leaderboard ranks of your friends. You can also post challenges to your accounts allowing your friends to play your exact puzzle.

* DAILY CHALLENGE: Every day a new puzzle is posted that everyone in the world can play. There is even a calendar where you can get a snapshot of your rank for everyday you participated.

CONTEST RULES

Below is a picture of the word cube. Your job is to find the longest word you can in the cube. The rules are:

1.) Post your word in this thread (multiple entries are allowed). Consecutive letters in your word must be touching (at least at a corner), and letters cannot be repeated.
2.) Tell your friends about IsoWords on your favorite social networking site (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, ...) with the app store link http://bit.ly/av3xam , and post a screenshot of such with your word entry.
3.) The top five longest words will get a promo code (each person can win at most one though).
4.) I'm not sure when the contest will end... we will see how many words people find. If it ends quickly I will do another.

I don't quite understand? Can I pick a letter then go to the other side and pick that letter?

Yep, and great word. I'm actually a math grad student in my non-app-developing time... this term is a bit archaic, but word no less...

Best I've found so far is REUNIFY (will post a picture showing it later if necessary - can't do a quick edit on the image right now). Still looking to see if I can do better. Will update if I find something longer.

It's not necessary to post a picture of the cube. But, Preview on the mac can do this. Just use the annotate features and you can draw circles/squares onto the image.

Hey guys, the 1.1 update is out now so grab it if you haven't already. The leaderboards are lighting up with thousands of words and scores.

The game is even better. This is probably in my top three most used applications. I love to use it since its simple to use with podcasts. One request though, could there be an option to toggle on and off the sound effects. If there is one already, I haven't noticed it.

Hey, I'm glad you are enjoying it.

No problem with the toggle setting. I am going to submit an update in a few days that makes the leaderboards a little nicer, and I will throw that in with it. It will be in the "Settings" screen on the main menu.
