Storing iphone contacts online

For those of you who do, what site do you use to sync your contacts with? Most of my friends just rely on the HD to keep them synced but I'd prefer to have them stored online in case something happens to my hard drive. I tried Google first but it seems to sync every e-mail address i've been in contact with to my address book. I'm using Yahoo now even now but I'm not really a fan of them and looking into other alternatives.

I've done a bit of searching on the net of the aforemetioned subject and have yet to come up with a viable solution that is easier than what you stated in your previous post...

Maybe that's the next million-dollar idea for someone to expand on ;)

Apple has a service called MobileMe (http://www.apple.com/mobileme/) that pretty much fits the bill. It's $99.00 a year, though -- worth it for me.

A bit off-subject, and I haven't researched it really, but is it possible to run 'TimeMachine' in OS X from a rather large flashdrive? That could fix your problem... It'd be rather expensive, but you could store your entire(important files) on multiple flashdrives that you could in-turn keep safely stowed away somewhere and not have to worry about lost data. Not to mention that it would be on physical media that you would know the exact location of...

I should have mentioned that I'm on a pc but I still prefer to store and sync my contacts to the web. I did look into the MobileMe service but I would imagine that would only be a worthwhile purchase for Mac owners since it offers better integration with the Mac OS.

It actually works both on Mac and PC -- it integrates with Outlook on the Windows.
