If I had an iPad, and I was trying to convince my Mum / Grandmother / Sister or anyone to whom the iPad seems pretty unappealing, this is the app I would use to try and convince them.

Simple, obvious, easy to grasp. Should be good!

This is just my humble opinion, but I think the paddles are way too small. They're about the size of the puck, and on an iPad, I think that would correspond to about the size of a quarter. Air hockey paddles (on a large playing field) are about the size of a drink coaster. I'd say a middle-ground between that would feel more natural.

i'd like to see a more realistic looking table, the lightning bolts don't really serve a purpose and the font could use some work.

I agree the table could be really nice if you added some skins. I wasn't a huge fan of the table above in the thread but its nice to have choices.
