This is the only HD game version I've purchased so far, waiting to get my iPad to see how 2x mode looks. Picked this up because I loved the original so much and the HD version looks spectacular!

I think it depends on the style of racing game that you like. I own Real Racing on the iPhone and it's a great sim racer but I discovered that sim racers aren't really for me. I bought Asphalt 5 for the iPad and I've been loving it. It's a much simpler arcade style game. So I guess it depends what you're looking for.

You need to rest your forearms and/or your hypothenar aspect of you hands on your thighs or the arms of a chair so that the 1.5lb weight of the ipad is transferred during prolonged play.

You need not use the accelerometer to steer...

Yeah. I've just tried other control options and you are right. But accelerometer steering is so fun:)

I didn't download via the iPad.

I download the update on my computer and updated via a sync.

(I didn't delete the game before I synced, or anything like that.)

I think I'm outta luck. :( (short of restoring the iPad from a back up)

If you downloaded on your computer then the older version of the game should be in your trash. Try downgrading it and using the ingame sync button to see if you can pull your data from the servers

You think that may help? I was hoping when I synced with cloudcell that my career etc would come back, but no such luck. You think downgrading and trying again may help?

I don't know, in order to do that, I have to first delete it from my phone. I think that I will lose any save/game state if I do that. (If all of that info were in the cloud(cell), wouldn't it have found my lost progression when I in-game synced the updated version?)

Also, I started a new career (I was in the mood to race! :)), so I think that that might have messed up any chance to get the lost progression back. (I'm guessing I "wrote over" any old progress when I started a new career on the same device with the same profile.)

I think I am just going to have to continue with my new career. :(

Yup, when there is a big game crashing, save deleting bug you can tell apple and submit a fix. Apple will expedite the fix so that it gets out super fast.

I ask this, because I've seen videos of there being 30+ cars shown on a 3GS.
Surely you could've made it at least 10-12 cars? :confused:
