When to unveil new game?

Any developers here have an average time before estimated release to show their game on review sites and forums, etc?

Like how long before the estimated release do you post the thread?

I would start posting about it as soon as you have something you think is going to attract attention, i.e. when you have some worthwhile screenshots or video.
