XPilot, the multiplayer classic (reviewed here for iPhone (http://toucharcade.com/2009/07/14/multiplayer-nix-classic-xpilot-comes-to-the-iphone/)), is now available on iPad. The iPhone version is fun, but the iPad feels like the platform that XPilot has been waiting for all its life -- controls are easier to learn and even more powerful on the iPad than they ever were on the PC, and holding an online multiplayer combat game in your hands is really just the way life was meant to be.
XPilot includes a tip jar for voluntary donations to support ongoing costs and development, but the entire game is functional without a donation.
