Please don't request a code unless you already have an iPad, or plan to buy one soon. Codes expire in thirty days, and work only on the U.S. App Store.

Well, I am showing off my iPad to everyone at work tomorrow, and I will be sure to show off FaceFighter... I wish the durn iPad had a camera though - it was so easy to just snap a picture with the iPhone and off to the fights... Going to take a bit more effort now, but should be well worth it.

I love the upgraded graphics effects. This is going to be a serious "hit"...

I hope you're right about being a hit -- we have moved up to #30 in iPad Paid Arcade, but we need to get into category top ten before we'll appear in the Top 100 iPad Paid category, which is about the only place the browsing audience on iPad can find anything right now. App discovery has always been the challenge in this market and it appears to be an even more acute issue on iPad than on iPhone.

I hear you on the camera, too ... we've got two apps that use the camera in unique ways and Apple keeps teasing us that wider roll-out of the camera is just around the corner ... we just don't know which corner. We remain optimistic.

Spooon! indeed, we'd make a sound byte like that for the game if it wasn't an IP violation.

We're looking at getting two or three new content packs out by July so if you guys have ideas for weapons, enemies, and finishing moves, let me know and maybe we can get them in.

I think it means you can only use the code to claim the app within 30 days...if you try to use the code to download after 30 days, it won't work.

That is correct. All promo codes expire thirty days after they are generated, so if you don't use them by that date, you can't get the game. If you download a game with a promo code, it is just like buying it -- you keep it forever.

We called out promo code expiration in this context just to make sure no one claimed a code thinking they could use it when they picked up an iPad next month sometime.

I must confess ... the spoon became a weapon on shooting day when we couldn't find a salami large enough for our purposes. Ah, the life of a game developer.

But we did start shouting "Spooooon!" as soon as we settled on it as a weapon, so maybe that's enough ...

I would agree with this. I have noticed that the block button doesn't seem to kick in right away. Overall, this game is a lot of fun though.

The block button is something we went around and around on when we were tuning the game. It is frequently regarded as unresponsive and we might adjust it in a future update.

For now, look for the "tell" that your opponent is about to attack -- there will be black and red rings emanating from behind your opponent's head just before he's about to attack. That's your cue to hit the block button. It takes some practice but you should be able to pull off blocks more frequently if you follow this advice. A successful block also opens a brief window for a more effective counter-attack, so always follow a block with a punch or kick.
