WHY WAIT FOR 3D. IT'S HERE TODAY

Low Grav Racer 2 HD, now available in full on 3D.

Cobra Mobile today announced the release of a new update for Low Grav Racer 2 HD on iPad which brings a whole new 3D mode to the game which literally transforms the way you can play racing games.

Whilst other handheld's and consoles are talking about 3D coming over the next year in games, Low Grav Racer 2 HD shows what 3D can do today in a super fast paced arcade action racing game.

Note: to play Low Grav Racer 2 HD in 3D you will need a pair of 3D glasses (of the red/blue paper variety which are available very cheaply on various online stores, like eBay).

I'm pretty sure Ground Effect had 3d first - but its cool to see others following suit.

To be fair there were several other 3D apps, some of them games, before I added 3D to Ground Effect. I'd also done it before 15 years ago on the orignal PC version of Magic Carpet but even that wasn't a first (it was the first to include an autostereogram mode but that's another, very stupid story). There were wire frame stereo 3D games on the 8 bit machines nearly 30 years ago.

A word of warning to the LGR devs: You will get mails and negative reviews from people complaining that they can't play your games with the polarised glasses they picked up when they watched Avatar...

LGR 2 HD has 4 control methods now and LGR 2 on iPhone has just been updated to add 3 new control methods.
