Even more so than the iPhone, the iPad is absolutely begging for some classic Mac game revival action!
Escape Velocity
Glider Pro
Crystal Quest
Shufflepuck Cafe
Beam Wars
The Manhole
Word/Number Munchers
I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton, but come on, these would be perfect! Some of these devs must still be around, right?

Karateka!!!!
Did this ever make it to the Mac? I thought it was an Apple ][ game. You will most likely see this on the C-64 Emulator that is currently on the app store.

I'd love to see old Ambrosia SW titles like Maelstrom, Swoop, Apeiron, Barrack and Escape Velocity on the iPad.
Like others have mentioned, Scarab of Ra and Pathways into Darkness would be no-brainers for the pad. I still have nightmares about PiD :D
The only RTS I had ever really fallen love with was Total Annihilation. That game would be a perfect fit for the ipad and it would blow C&C Red Alert out of the water!
If I remember correcty, isn't Armor Alley coming to the iPhone? Hope they make a native version for the iPad as well. That with MP would kick some serious ass!
Oh, and I would also love to see Stunt Copter and that one hot air balloon game (in which you had to dodge birds and such to survive) on the pad too.

I think the iPhone has already received more great games than the Mac ever did, but that said, there's always room for history. It was awesome to see old favorites again like Stunt Copter, Alice, Glypha, and Crystal Quest again. MYST is okay I suppose but I would have rather seen 7th Guest/11th Hour.

I loved it when Ambrosia made games, and I miss them a lot. I was a beta tester on Swoop and played the crap out of Apeiron. They would ROCK on iPad. We won't see Escape Velocity but we have Warp Gate at least.
I thought someone was making Crystal Caliburn Pinball?
And how about Bungie's Marathon? We got Wolf3D, Doom, Rise of the Triad, and Duke Nukem so we know it can be done. Freeverse did a kickass port of Marathon 2 to the XBOX 360 but I get the idea it didn't sell so well.
While we're at it, LucasArts classic games. Dark Forces (coming out on PSN for PS3 and PSP tonight!), Rebel Assault, X-Wing, TIE Fighter, Sam and Max Hit the Road, Day of the Tentacle, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis ... and MORE Monkey Island. Most of the Mac ports were done by MAME guru and overall boy genius Aaron Giles (http://aarongiles.com/), whose talent is IMHO being wasted at Microsoft now. Bring him back!
Fool's Errand
Dark Castle series
Hellcats over the Pacific (probably not as awesome as I remember, but still)
The Wing Commander games from Mac:
Super Wing Commander
Wing Commander III Heart of the Tiger
Wing Commander IV Price of Freedom

I don't think the Mac ever got a port of Karateka, but we did see the definitive versions of Prince of Persia 1 and 2, which are spiritual successors and in my opinion much better games. They'd work on the iPad but not as well as Mirror's Edge.

Ooh, I forgot Icebreaker. That would work really well.
