It's still a great game, and I don't have an iPad, but GTA scaled up for the larger screen seems quite.. unplayable and meh.

I'm the first to acknowledge that Gangstar isn't GTA4, or GTA3 even, but I have found it more engaging that what I've played so far of GTA chinatown wars.

I'm just not a fan of the overhead perspective.

I'm hoping Rockstar will make a 3D GTA for the platform. Till then Cloneloft if my only source of hope. A Gangstar sequel might kick ass based on how much better their sequels have been than the first games in a genre. eg how much better Dungeon Hunter is than Hero of Sparta.

They released Fishing Kings a couple weeks back, now they are making Splinter Cell, Zombie Infection, Hero of Sparta II, and now this.
What happens when they run out of ideas? :p

Gangstar: West Coast = small beach, cliffs, hilly areas, darker colours etc (LA)

And I didn't criticise him, it's called "light-hearted joking and suggesting an alternative".

Have you played gta? Once you get past the eye candy of gangstar there's nothing to do. GTA on the other hand while the top-down view is not normal, is a living and breathing city with endless gameplay.

I would second that if instead of LCS it was VCS which imo is a superior game. But anyways the first gangstar was ok not as bad as everybody says it is but not great either. But if this game improves on it it might actually be really good.

Looks like they added the Grenade Launcher for the Ipad... Btw if you look at gameloft's Gangstar twitter, they responded with `wait and see` to a person asking if a sequel willl be out anytime soon...

Gameloft has NEVER announced such a sequel! Gangstar: West Coast Hustle is still performing very very well on the app store.

By the way, for Gangstar iPad, I confirm the grenade launcher, as well as silver and gold versions of several weapons :)

The cars seem to be very shiny with lighting reflections of the sun, but the static shadows from buildings, bridges, and trees don't map on to the cars making them look like a bright beacon on top of dark shadowed ground. Hopefully this will be corrected before release.

If Gameloft doesn't update Iphone Gangstar with the new weapons and the 3Gs version with the eye candy, I'm going to be really dissappointed. I mean, look at those graphics in the trailer! For God's sake, Ipad has more powerful specs than the original ps2, and i know the systems are completely different, but WHAT A WASTE of 1Ghz processor power!
