Could the iPhone ever use QTC on its screens, as they are made of glass, I wasn'y sure if it would still work effectively?

It would be really cool if it was implemented, especially in the menus, so we can flick through our songs faster, or get to page 11 of apps!

Anyone who doesn't know what it is, see: http://www.peratech.com/qtcmaterial.php

I don't think QTC materials have the kind of transparency needed for screens. What's more though is that they require pressure to use, much like the resistive touchscreens of old, though requiring less pressure than those. Still, any pressure at all means the featherlight touches capacitive screens enjoy would not be possible, even assuming QTC could be fully transparent.

Indium-tin oxide is the best choice for touchscreens because they require almost no pressure to work, just a conductive instrument with enough surface area to attract the currents.
