i want to put a custom boot logo on my ipod and i have the image i want "320x480 png format" but the size is to big and i need to compress it.

ok, so you know how to do the boot logo and stuff, you just need to compress the photo?

like what do you mean? You want to .zip it? You want to make the file size smaller? Ok, change the resolution. Or the dimensions. I believe the boot logos have to be a certain size, which is 100kb

i know they have to be 100kb or less but my pics are like 200+.
how can i put it to be 100 kb and how do i change the dimensions and resolution.

yes, either that or the like (Gimp, Paint.NET, etc.)

it seems a bit too detailed for a boot logo....ill give it a shot though...and um why this picture? when you could have this:
