Seriously, the score perk must be removed if there's going to be an online leaderboard. Its currently too dependant on it to get a huge score. So if I get it in the beginning I lucked out and am going to be at a huge advantage. Happened to me and I did a 500k easily.

oh and, i found a bug. when u die, if you have used perks, u can still press it on the background. but you won't be able to do much. however, pressing perks when u died will cause the main menu not to show up =D

The above poster is wrong about the omens. You receive omens when you kill dracula. I would suggest implementing the telekenisis perl so you don't have to run through 50 monsters to pick up the omens in later levels.

However, I done even better :D
My survival highest was a bit above 2m
And my rush was 79k something almost 80k
I would say those perks help a lot,my current favor
Weapon is mini gun and crossbow
Mini gun shoot fast but sucks damage wise
Crossbow one hit almost everything(if I remember correctly), one time I used it 2 shoots the shadow guy.
Stay near the center use the location delay the monster movement
Swith to crossbow finish off the boss(the perk for xbow is very useful indeed along with fast reload perk), the perk that sucks all loots to you is cool and practical as well
I would say break the second million score is much easier than the first million since monsters come more in quantiity at a time and faster wave
I will upload my pic tomorrow and I am on my iPod touch atm

You do need fast reload and the fire cannon gun save your butt
The wolf and ghost all got cool black smoky forms
Funny thing is that after about 1.5m score, all I did was
Searching for green potion and fire cannon ammo lol
Yes it's so intense that you just got no time to think about
other stuff.
This game really addicting, and so is the new rogue touch

Yeah when I got a text once it was hard to press ok and I lost in like 2 seconds after I got the text.

That picture is 100% real, the reason why I jumped from 3mil to 29mil like that was because after a certain point the game stays at a certain difficulty so if you manage to reach the certain level you pretty much can get a really highscore depending on how long you are willing to keep your fingers on the screen. I died because I got a text, yes it sucks but I was still happy because my score was high enough and I was getting tired of the game anyways. If you guys still don't believe me just wait for global highscores if its ever implemented and you'll see. :)

agree. after a certain point the game the difficulty stays and you'll get about 1 - 1,5 million points per minute.
I really like very hard games and this one is one of 'em, but it gets boring after a while. (I'm trying my best now at ExZeus, i find it harder and i can't seem to get to the final boss, yet.)

Quickly press (don't hold down) the Home and Sleep button simultaneously. You will see a flash meaning the iPhone/ Touch has taken a screenshot. You can do this at anytime in any application and you'll find it in your photos.

Now connect the iPhone/ Touch to your computer. You shouldbe able to use Explorer to transfer photos to your "My Pictures" section. If no prompt comes up, go to My Documents>My Pictures and look for the "Copy pictures from device". Follow instructions.

Or you can email the photos from the iPhone to your email and get it that way.

Now just use a hosting site like Tinypic, upload it, and now you have the link to display the pic in forums.

The weapon system really does need a revamp though, it should have an icon for each gun or something.

It is juste a fake to me, first because if it your second hightscore, where is your fisrt hight score ???? yes it is missing, you previous screen show an insane score but is missing from you scoreboard.
And the second thing is that you complete only 10 level -.-"
If you can justify this two fact i'll trust in you :D

What are you talking about? Look at the screenshot again my score is obviously on the scoreboard... I believe there is only 10 levels which is why after a certain level the game stays at the same speed which proves my other point.

I just got this game and only played survival once, (i didnt even know how to work the controls) and rush twice after i got a feel for the game. My survival sucks but my Rush score felt pretty good so heres pic

Good game with very good graphics but the controls need a fine tuning.

Then again, the fact that your fingers constantly cover parts of the action is a reason why a lot of games can't really succeed on the iPod/iPhone anyway.

That reason alone should stop people saying this can be a serious gaming platform.

Ive only gotten 400.000 so far.... but i love the game, its awesome, the weapon switch im not to concerned about, i usually just use what it gives me lol. There is a bug btw, when the first ghost comes on screen, it freezes for 1-2 secs

If you have the "Pushback" perk (I forget the actual name but it's the one that throws the enemy back when you hit them) then just keep knocking dracula back with the machine gun. He won't get close enough to hit you and after a minute or so of shooting him when he comes near he dies.

Basically from 12mins on you need to just stand still, switch to MG and keep firing and hope that you get enough ammo from telekinesis. After 14mins you pretty much need to go to BFG and just keep firing. By that point the ammo should be self sustaining though as so many monsters die.

there is a little problem I was in a very well aspected game, when reached 144k, i got a low battery alert and died with no remedy. i lost focus from the analogs, and the alert did not dissapear.

Tips/Strategies:
Move constantly... I like to run around the fountain in the middle, as it can slow up some guys from immediately flanking you... also you can use most weapons to shoot over/around the fountain, which is to your benefit.

Once you get over 1 million (maybe even earlier), the only 2 weapons you will really use will be the Machine Gun and the BFG. Even after hitting 2 million+, I was running out of BFG ammo (even with the extra item finder Perk), so your ability to use the Machine Gun effectively is vital. I recommend practicing in the "Rush" mode to get used to using the Machine Gun. Basically you only want to use the Machine Gun for however long it takes to get some ammo back for the BFG (you go through it absurdly fast when in "Panic" - perk - mode).

Further when using the Machine Gun at that high of a level, your going to get hit... a lot. As a result you have to quickly establish which enemy poses the largest threat... the foremost being those Shadow/Witch guys. As far as Dracula himself goes, it's too hectic by 1 million+ to realistically switch to the Crossbow to get the 2 shot kill, so instead use the BFG, but only shoot him as he gets close - preferably before he can start "zapping" you.

Truthfully there is a fair amount of luck to this... specific Perks are key and unfortunately it's random which 4 are available per "level-up". Notably however, getting the Score Modifier early helps with the score (obviously). The Power Striker (Pushback Perk) is super useful for when you get stuck using the Machine Gun; Panic (perk that increases your reload speed - notably the BFG, when you are severely low on HP) saved me countless times at 2 million+, kept me alive just long enough to get some Health Potions...

Those are the primary ones to go after, Telekinesis Perk (items are dragged to you) is useful along with the Bonus Item Perk (increased chance for items to drop)... Ones that should be avoided include: New Weapon (honestly you should be able to get 25k+ easily with just a few Perks and the starting weapon... eventually you'll see all the other weapons -- you want Perks that last long term and/or increase survivability), Immortality, Larger Pockets (doesn't increase ammo to be worthwhile), Faster Run Speed, Crossbow (3 darts - again you're only going to be using the Machine Gun and BFG towards the 1 million+ mark), and Ranged Fire.

Sometimes you get stuck with duplicate Perks, that limit your selection... sometimes to just relatively useless Perks... if this happens it's just the luck of the draw and you'll have to deal. I actually hope that this gets updated so you can actively select the perks you want per "level-up". Anyway hope this helps! Good luck.

Edit: I survived for just under 15min... had an invisible HP Bar (i.e. ~1HP) numerous times on the way to 3 million... >.<

I disagree about moving tbh, once you're over 1mil points anyway. I stand still near the fountain so that they can only approach me from 270 degrees, the other 90 degrees being blocked by the fountain. I think you're right actually. I experimented lining myself up on the Eastern part of the fountain, leaving the lamp post to help block incoming mobs, which seemed to help. However at 3 million+ the rush is just too fast, and frankly moving along the fountain still seemed to help prevent getting hit... that said move while keeping your back to the fountain as bits of space opens up.

Definitely for the Rush mode however, I just stayed put and it drastically simplified things.

One of the powers gives you greater knockback. So once you hit an enemy, it goes flying backwards at a greater distance than normal. It helps to keep them from getting close enough to damage you.

Yup, shoot further means just that, not sure about going through part but the bullet do go farther, and knock back once again means just that, it hits them farther back when hit but doesn't shoot the bullet farther just knocks them back farther...

I hope that made sense, I read through and it sounded a bit incoherent :rolleyes:.

That's a very good observation - I don't think there's a time after 1.5mil points that there aren't less than 10-20 enemies on the screen at once, and even if you use the Blood Sacrifice to kill all enemies the screen will flood with enemies shortly after. This makes me now question the scores from Pl0cks and devilhunter84...

i think the reason why the radar shows little monster is,
after you die, monsters will stop spawning, and the remaining monsters will all approach the center, and the dots on the radar will become concentrated around your died body, so it appears there are few monsters

yeah pressing the home button exists the game, when you come back there will be a screen asking you if you would like to continue where you left off, just make sure you keep your finger on the shooting wheel place cause the monsters come at you immediately

I don't know if this has been covered already, I tried reading through the 50+ pages of comments in this thread and the other and finally gave up, so hope I'm not repeating things everyone knows :D

Anyways, I joined because I love this game, I'm nowhere near the level of some of y'all, but hopefully I will be soon.

I've found three cheats/hacks/bugs that may make your lives easier, and I wanted to share:

(1) Getting The Perk You Want:
If you don't like the bonuses offered, hit your home button, restart the app, and then resume your game. You'll be able to choose the perk option again, and a new random set of options are displayed. Rinse and repeat until you get the option you want. For best results, give yourself plenty of room since when you restart, the game will start in an un-paused state.

(2) Switching Weapons At The Later Stages:
If you want to switch over to a different weapon, but are surrounded by hordes of enemies, click pause. The weapon selection at the bottom is still active, so scroll it to your desired pain-bringer and then unpause.

(3) Infinite Omens:
This is definite gaming of the way the application works, and I'm not sure there is really any good use for it, but here goes. If you want to quickly increase your orb count, finish a game after earning at least one orb, but before hitting the "OK" button to display the high scores board, hit your home button. Then restart, and resume your game. When you resume the game, you'll be placed back at the summary screen, and your omen count will be added to the total on the high scores board. Rinse and repeat until you've got the count you were looking for.

basically the strategy is wait till you get full BFG (turn off auto switch weapon)
use up all your BFG
then turn back on auto switch weapon
and try to hold off as much monsters before you get the BFG again.

1)b4 you get to 500 000 you need telekinesis,power striker,uranium bullets,bonus finder.
optional(ninja,extra health,scoremaster all after 500 000)
2)with this perks you will survive with michine gun till 1m+ then start using BFG,and pray for the good drop rate.
3)Stand right here-->

Thats nice. Best I have so far is 1.2 million...seems a little harder for me with the new levels. Rush mode is harder too or is it just me- best I got was 80k?

not just u.....everything is harder for some reason that i do not know. I havent nearly matched my high scores from pre-update

Wow! Just collected 18 omens in one wave attack game! Only lasted for 20 mins though. I expect others would've thrashed my score of 986000. The easiest way to kill those draculas (the one with the green bolts of hell) is to use the crossbow. Eliminate every surrounding creature, then switch to the useless crossbow and kill the dracula in 2-3 shots. Once, I ran out of all ammo and had to use the first gun against it. Took 250 ammo. Literally.

Highest score for survival is 1,275,122 on the great hall, WITHOUT the maximise score perk or the death dice perk. I got all the weapons really early on in this game so by the time it got frantic, I had loads of ammo for the flamethrower and BFG :p

If you get crossbow master, it is not a useless weapon at all, but one of the better ones. It takes out everything in one shot, besides dracula, and there are 3 so that you hit more, and also have more of a chance of hitting dracula when you don't have much time to aim since there are so many other monsters around you.

and how long? hmm dunno around a few hours cuz i didn't do it in one sitting. you CANNOT do it in one sitting cuz once i played till 55mil straight and my app just suddenly closed and i couldn't resume game and highscore didn't save. i was so pissed (my friends were rofling) so you have to let the ipod cpu rest a bit, so you have to quit the app now then. i quit the app every 5-10mil. also you get tired so.. yea (:

When he come whip out the crossbow and hit him twice.

I believe that kills him and easily too.

Crossbow is too tough to switch to and back when you're in the real thick of things IMHO - you get mobbed while trying to hit him since it's slow with the reload.

Instead, I pull out the flamethrower and focus some special love on to him while at the same time fighting off the others - he's dead in a few hits. Flamethrower rules!
