I was trying to downgrade from 4.0 to 3.1.3 so I downloaded the 3.1.3 firmware held down shift and clicked restore and it didn't work like it shouldn't so a youtube video from WadeTheKid said run blackra1n so I try and I get an error. What do i do?

Downgrading is easy, go back to 3.1.2, find the firmware on google, and do the shift + restore thing. Once that's done, use Blackra1n to re-jailbreak.
