It's always refreshing to see Devs try something new. Which is why my interest was peaked when learning about Princess Fury. Essentially the game was supposed to be a Beat-em-up with some RPG as well as RTS elements blended in. Note that I used the word "was".

Graphics

The graphics in Princess Fury has all the charm of anime-inspired graphics. The enviroment is beautifully drawn and varies enough that you don't get tired of it. Combined with the cute little sprites that are used, the game is truly beautiful when it comes to the Graphics department.

Gameplay

The gameplay was underwhelming, but still enjoyable in my eyes. In the game you control the Princess through the usual V-pad and virtual buttons. The button furthest to the right allows the Princess to attack, the bottom three are for skills, and the one at the top-left is the RTS part of the game. That RTS button doesn't do much, you only have two otions at controlling your servants; 1. Spread out, and 2. Crowd around the Princess. The rest, such as attacking, is left to the AI. With such limited control over your men, you don't really feel as if you are strategizing. In fact, I found that you didn't even need to use the RTS button to get through levels.

Fortunately the rest of the game is enjoyable, each stage has a different objective ranging from "killing all the enemies" to "defending your crystal". And after each level, the Princess and her servants will gain experience, which leads to leveling up, which leads to skills and more servants. In a nutshell, Princess Fury is an enjoyable Beat-em-up, although others may find it to be a grind-fest. But I do wish that the RTS element in the game was more prominent.

Story

If Princess Fury lacks anything other than the aforementioned RTS elements, it's a story. This may be a problem to others, but to me the game doesn't need a story to be fun. But a story would have made the game better.

Sound

The sound in the game can't be fully appreciated unless you use earphones. The sounds of battle mixed in with a great soundtrack really suck you in and make you feel like fighting. Which is a great considering your gonna be doing alot of fighting. Soundtrack is great, SFX are adequate, nothing wrong here.

Replayability

The game is pretty straightforward. But with the variety of missions, this game has decent replayability. There are no achievements and no other game modes other than the "different" missions. What would really make this game great, is a Survival Mode. That would definitely add more replayability to the game.

Pricing

As of now, I can say the price is fair. But if your really into Beat-em-ups and Grindfests, then this game is a steal!

Overall

All in all, the game is pretty fun in my opinion. But others do complain about the lack of story and the lack of actual RTS elements. But if you can see past all that and just want a decent beat-em-up with grindng, then this game is most likely your next purchase. :D
