help with jailbreaking

every time i try to jailbreak my iphone it bricks and i have to restore it,i used quickpwn, do u have any better suggetstions for me?

Device
Firmware
Mac/win

But then again I'm not sure instructional directions on jailbreaking are permitted in this forum
