I noticed this and it looks pretty good though the controls look suspect. I think they might be directionals and not actual controls. I might try the lite to see how it plays.

I already have Slot Life - Pirates (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/slot-life-pirates/id375364755?mt=8) from the same Developers and it's a great game , i' m sure that Ninja Stealth Missions should be awesome as well !!:)

Played through a few levels (thank you alchemygames!) and the best summation is done in the trailer to be honest! The game premise is get your ninja to the castle using all available resources. The ninja will walk in a straight line until something changes it's direction - whether it is a directional arrow or a wall or even a trampoline. You need to plan ahead and strategically place these pieces down to achieve your goal. It is very easy to drop and undo the pieces you place. The mechanics are flawless. The graphics might look simple on the actual game board but I believe that is out of necessity. The menu screen and level selection screen look fantastic and I actually did wonder to myself how they would look with the increased screen resolution on the iPhone 4. They were that sharp and crisp and colorful.

If you have liked these kinds of puzzlers in the past and would like to add a Toki Tori add a prop game play to it - this is the game for you.

The one thing I can't figure are the total steps taken. I made a mistake in one level but even when I replayed it the steps were counted. I guess that is out of necessity since once you know how to solve the puzzles you will be able to go back and solve them all perfectly. With OF integration that would skew achievements and leaderboards I would assume.

Well... how the steps are counting could be a bit confusing so can explain a bit. The less steps you get in a section (every 10 levels) the better. Steps are counting while you are playing a level. If you fail or restart before being killed or detected, the steps are still counted. When you complete a level you can try that level when you like and you steps are kept. When you complete a whole section you can reset that section and try it again to complete this time with less steps.

Some levels have different ways to be solved you can reach the goal in a few steps or take a longer way but killing the samurais... You can choose how to proceed!

I hope you know how to steps are counting =)

Thanks and excuse my english I know isn't so good =)

This all makes sense now! I get it - not confusing at all when I see the "big picture."

(Your English is better than some native speakers btw nothing to apologize for!)

I've finished the training levels, and must say this game makes for awesome puzzles. I also love the graphics and cute animations. One thing I really wish is that I could access the help screens from right within the game, instead of having to go back all the way to the main menu. There are so many ninja gadgets and tools that I had trouble remembering what each one did, except for the more straightforward ones.

I finished the training levels and I really am liking this and hoping the difficulty keeps ramping up. I was stumped on one of the last training stages for a bit. This is a clear winner from my perspective.

The training mode was nice and introduced aspects of the game and the general feel of what to expect in a well thought out manner.

Some of the charm and difficulty is from figuring out how to use a tool, and of course when and where to use them.

The one control aspect I would like to see, in addition to the current method is the ability to move a piece that has already been placed (or even if it hasn't been placed yet), by dragging and dropping it to its new position instead of tapping it to clear it from the board and then selecting and tapping the board at the new location. I kept trying to do that and it just felt more natural to expect it to behave that way.

It also might be cute/funny to add random humorous dialog, when ninja makes a mistake by getting caught (i.e. "nan desu ka"), falls in a trap (i.e. "medic...") or successfully finishes the level (i.e "cowabunga dude") before the level finished dialog window comes up.

At this point I can't really add any more to what has been said already. Its just a wonderfully designed puzzle game.

I was also wondering about the step counting and I'm not sure I like the implementation. I'm waffling between redoing a level or having to redo a 10 level set to be able to better your score especially if its only 1 level you had issues with. I think that people who care about their score are going to replay because they want to better their score. Those that don't care are just going to blow through only figuring out how to solve the puzzle. It would sort of be neat if both the original 1st score and your best score were tracked and ranked.

Anyway, I high recommend everyone support alchemygames and go out and get this game.

I'm only halfway through the training levels, and even now I can safely say that this is a very good puzzler which I'm liking a lot (btw it looks quite nice on the iPad). From the vid it looks like it's going to be quite challenging in the later stages, needing the right timing and all that.

One thing I wish for this kind of games is to have in-game instructions/tutorials that explain the effect of each tool instead of having to either read through and memorize the whole chuck of the help section or keep going back to the main screen to access the help.

Anyway, puzzle lovers do take a look at this. I mean, we all liked Black Sheep (http://itunes.apple.com/sg/app/black-sheep/id303536937?mt=8). This is that with ninjas, stealth and slash. It has to be good right?

Hi!,

Thank you for your support and we are really happy you post your points of view about the game so we can take notes and keep in mind for future versions of that game or in the design of a new one.

Hi all,

Mew2468: To be completely honest all depends directly from the sales.
If the sales are not good our efforts should be redirected in design new projects. However we have some new levels ready to be added in next updates. Also we are taking in consideration to allow the players make and submit their own levels so that would be a good way to keep the game updated frequently.

Shadow Zangetsu: Yes. You are right. The game is inspired on Chu Chu Rocket from Sega. It keeps the game mechanic about the arrow icons, however in this game you have plenty of possibilities. You can jump the holes, kill the enemies, stop them for a short time, you can turn invisible for a short time, climb walls and more... We have no plans to release the Lite version again. However, Ninja Stealth Missions has a price drop and now you can get only for $1. This is for a limited time. =)

We know now the game isn't so easy as we expected, so we have made an update with an in-game tutorial explaining how to use all the action icons. Also we have implemented the OS4 support and multitasking and fixed some minor bugs.

I was working on a review for this game and was going to try to finish it before writing up my thoughts, but I have been stuck on Mission 53 for over a week now. There have been some other levels that stumped me for a day or so, but this one has really got me blocked. Can anyone offer any hints on how to proceed with this mission?

Well, I haven't been actively playing for a week (like I had been at the beginning). I've been trying every few days for 10-30 min.
I did manage to start and complete "Plants vs Zombies" in the meantime. :)
