Alright, so today I jailbroke my iPhone 3GS to 4.0 and everything was working fine until a few moments ago.
Just now it has started to crash into safe mode upon start-up or any respring.
I am pretty sure that I have now deleted every app
I downloaded today like winterboard, sbsettings, categories sb, and categories.
Are their any known issues that could cause crashing issues even past deleting them via cydia?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

As a note, I just tried a hard reset and that didn't work either.

I hope you didn't download a cracked Categories SB. If so, you deserve to not have a working iPhone.

Yeah, I have it installed (not sure how I didn't download it..) but should it not be installed?

Nope, I paid for it back when I was on 3.1.2. Cracked apps are not cool.

Winterboard is the problem, it's not compatible with iOS4 yet. In fact the problem with using it is that it causes the iphone to go into a safe mode loop. If you need to know what cydia apps are compatible, waiting to be updated etc.... here's a link:

The suggestion on this site is to remove the winterboard files manually.

I use iProtect and I never go in safe mode? Wait are you talking about just on 4.0 or on all 3.0 as well?
