Hey guys,

Just took the plunge and did the jailbreak thing,

installed winterboard to change the theme, lovely :)

are there any must-haves i should at least look at, what kind of things do people have?

i installed biteSMS for the extra features (not their bitesms messages, i will use my O2 ones) but noticed its only a 20 day trial, so giving it a trial for now :)

and i installed BossPrefs too, thats cool for hiding those dreaded pre-installed apps like stocks. lol

what else should i be looking at?

edit: i dont mind paid-for apps if they are good enough :)

I don't know if you do, but if if you have an iPhone, get the video camera app.

You need to delete BossPrefs right now, its old old old :p

Get SBSettings, its much much better than BossPrefs. Also get Backgrounder, lets you run apps (AIM) in the background, which is veryyyy nice.

Also you should pick up gpsPhone from Cydia, its a Gameboy Advance emulator(Pokemon on iPhone :))....head over to zodttd.com for info about iPhone emulators.

I just upgraded and performed a jailbreak again. Last time I had gpsphone, quake 3, themes, 5 dock icons etc. This time I only installed pdanet (I bought the full version). I was getting serious performance issues before; lagging and having to restart far more regularly than normal. Of course the pay off is a lot of stuff that's otherwise unavailable, but I soon got bored of the themes and the old gameboy games that still don't perform at 100%. If I didn't want pdanet so badly I wouldn't bother with jailbreaking at all. With just pdanet installed from cydia, my device has been very stable, as it was pre jailbreak.

any reason other than it being old for removing BossPrefs, im ok with it being old as it does what it promises :)

as for emulators, i tried the NES one and installed some NES roms, fun for a little while, but the controls were not very responsive.

i was also looking at iBlacklist as i like the concept, but $12 seems an expensive app, even if it was on the appstore.

using cycorder, but i wanted to look at the other one from dreamcatcher, but thats even more expensive at $20 , bit lame when cycorder is free albeit with an ad in the program.

Idk...SBSettings was made to replace Boss Prefs, easy acess menu and what not.

NES is not made by Zodttd, the others are...and are much better lol.

gpsPhone is amazing :)
