View Full Version : need advice about apps that not installed from itunes

does apps ( game and other apps ) that installed from a sites beside itunes , is legal ? because me and my friend last night debate , whether is it a stealing , i say it's stealing , or , my friend says , it's all about copyright or something , sorry for my english but i need answer from you all because i know there is a lot of iphone , ipad developers here

If it's a paid app and you didn't pay for it, then it's stealing. Also if you admit to stealing or link to websites that host apps you'll be banned from this forum, so be careful ;)

ok , thanks for the reply , so basically paid games or paid apps that's you're not buy but installed on the iphone / ipad ( via jailbreaking ) is thieving , am i right ?

because my friend says it's not a thieving , because there aren't object that missing , my friend say "you only copying and installed in other iphone/ipad , it's just copyright problem"

i thought copyright prob, were when you were stealing names and using VERY related ideas to another product o.0

I'm afraid your friend is choosing to believe this to justify his actions. It may seem like a product doesn't exist if you can't touch it, but that argument just doesn't fly.

It's no different than installing music you have not payed for. The musicians are business people and are selling the fruits of their labor. To just take it and not pay for it is a crime.

The problem with this issue is that many people lack moral ethics and it's only gonna get worse in the future.
