spirit jailbreak 2.0 to be relaesed tommorow (july 31)

comex jailbreak tool for all devices 3.1.2 and 3.1.3 gave untethered jailbreaks to all devices (even MC models) now with firmware 4.0, and not being able to downgrade back to 3.1.2 because apple stopped signing the FW, many people like me (with ipod touch 2g MC model) are unable to jailbreak. but comex is set to release spirit 2.0 tommorow wich should jailbreak all devices with 4.0 firmware.

besides, I read on Twitter, or the blog, or somewhere:confused: that it won't be called spirit-(whatever). It'll have a new unrelated-to-spirit name.

i heard it on wikipedia, said release date: july 31, i just checked it again, and it syas: not yet released, so someone edited the page and it wasnt caught yet when i saw it. but it is suposed to be released this weekend or next week, so it will be soon hopefully

Comex: You will have to ask Saurik if he’s done with that bootstrap yet. Like I hate to say this because people will be complaining, but it is pretty close to done.

Chpwn: The jailbreak definitely needs a lot of testing (http://www.redmondpie.com/jailbreak-iphone-4-ios-4.0.1-4.1-is-close-to-done-says-comex/#) before it is released, to make sure it works on everybody’s phone, and that there are no issues like Spirit had (http://www.redmondpie.com/spirit-update-fixes-photo-deletion-bug-errors-on-windows-9140727/) where it deleted all of your photos in the first few days of the release.

For the rest of the world who just got their iPhone 4s yesterday, we can wait a few days. It's kind of fun to see what a stock device is like again (I keep swiping the top expecting sbsettings to appear!)
