I've tried jailbreaking both my phone and my touch now.

They have bricked both times, making me have to restore, wasting several hours.

I'm wondering if i'm doing anything wrong.

It makes it all the way through, but freezes at the reboot screen. ITunes is unable to connect to it too

I'm using the newest version of quickpwn and the latest firmware.

Any suggestions?

Ok. You are probably doing it wrong. And they aren't bricks. You can absolutely 100% never, ever brick your iPod/iPhone.

Ok, not bricks, but I have to force restore it every time

I've done all the steps right, i think, but after it reboots, it stays at the apple logo.

Make sure you back up your device in itunes, remove all apps from your device, and then close iTunes.

Mine messed up the first time I tried too, Im pretty sure it was becuase I had apps still loaded on my phone. Took the apps off and it worked fine the second time

K. It's doing it now.

It's a clean install, no apps, no songs, nothing on my touch atm.

I hope this works :)

you need a new ispw file
download a fresh one from the web and try that
you really need to take note of when your problems are occuring and provide more info
mac/pc
quickpwn/pwntool

e-mail me the forum member Hazmat had the same problem and 2 emails later I had him JB'ed again

there is a guide to this already on the web. it happens when the mobilewatchdog service resets your phone during boot because rebuilding the application map takes too long.
