can't jailbreak [Archive]

trying to jailbreak my ipod 1 gen with my mac, but it says i need ADC file, but i have a newer one accidentally, so i cant jailbreak. help:(

yes, there is a known problem where if your mac is running v. 10.5.6 it doesnt respond to an iphone/ipod in dfu mode, which is need for the jailbreak.

Well no wonder I had so much freaken trouble! All I kept reading was "Any moron can jailbreak their ipod touch" & "It's so simple a baby could do it!" - Well I tried, and failed twice.

Now I know why... And after countless hours asking questions and searching for a solution, why the hell couldn't anybody mention this to me???-Different forum.
