View Full Version : iOS4 on iPod touch 2G problems?
I had my iPod touch 2G on 3.1.2 using redsn0w before and everything worked fine, no issues. I tried iOS 4 when it came out, again using the redsn0w jailbreak, and it worked fine for a bit and then I started getting problems. Mainly, some games just wouldn't launch anymore. I'd reboot to make sure it wasn't a memory issue, but games that worked before would just stop launching (simple ones like Bird Strike), while a few others would still work.
Is this an isolated issue for me, that a complete reinstall might fix, or am I better of going back to 3.1.2 or 3.1.3?

I had serious crash problems with my first install of iOS4 on my 2nd gen iPod (not jailbroken) crash crash crash crash crash. (including hard resets, kernel panics according to the logs)
Restored it as a new iPod, then restored it from my pre-update backup. Things are much better now.
I also run MemoryInfo after browsing the web or if a game crashes to clear things up a bit.
Is MemoryInfo an app or a system feature? I've never come across it before.

It's an app.
If you're jailbroken, there's supposed to be a "free memory" option in SBSettings which will do the same thing.
Thanks, I'll take a look and see if that helps it.

all these problems are caused my faulty OS i recommend downgrading to 3.1.3 or if possible 3.1.2 if u have ur SHSH blobs oj file ios4+ hogs a lot of RAM and processor and ur apps crash due to low RAM hopes this helps.
