Clean it.
Or, hire the local wizard to fix it. They're usually not cheap though.

U shud buy one of those clear screen protectors that go over the screen, i use them nd i dont have any scratches on my 2 year old original iphone

I don't think you can remove scratches, but you can definately prevent them by using a screen protector.

... how do you scratch a glass screen again? Did you have quartz in your pocket or something?

as people said it, you can prevent them with the screen protector but i don't think there is any way to repair that. or maybe since most protector are actually sticking to your screen with a thin layer of silicone, if you clean your screen perfectly and try to apply the screen protector that might just do the trick of hiding the scratch. that is if the silicone fill perfectly the scratch and there is no air bubble left.
i never tried so I'm not too sure but that's what i would try

Actually, if you have even a tiny bit of sand in your pocket, that can scratch the screen.

Sounds like one tough piece of sand...
I don't think you can get a scratch out though. You could always buy a new iPod...
