Me, Kiwi and most recently Peter have been trying to find our way through the Watchmen MMORPG story. So far we have as follows:

THE FIRST Watchmen: Justice is Coming iDevice Guide on the Internet.

Clue Locations:
Clue #1: Right near the initial starting point.
Clue #2: Go to Hotel in top left of Downtown District
Clue #3: Go to Red Light Zone, first street on the left at a Theater.
Clue #4: Go to the park near bottom left on the actual Park part.
Clue #5: Downtown District at the Gunga Diner.
Clue #6: Go to the Red Light Zone, go to the very top streen and take a left. By club between XXX stores.
Clue #7: Go to Newspaper stand in Downtown District. Man there should give you the clue.
Clue #8: Go to Financial Region. Top-right of map near exit to Downtown. In front of 'Chinese Restaurant'.
Clue #9: Go to Red Light district via Subway, take first right and at club.
Clue #10: Go to City Park. Search around there.
Clue #11: ...

Clue Content:
Alot of people have been complaining about not being able to review clues after passing them. I plan to compile a list of all the clue pictures here, so as soon as you get them, snap a screen shot, email them to yourself, access them on the home computer, upload them to photobucket or something and then post the links here!

NOTES:

-Keep in mind that occasionally the exclamation marks won't show up for awhile so you have to be patient.
-I have discovered that for every clue you must reach a certain level before you obtain it. Please note your level while you gather each clue and post them here!
-If you are not connected correctly to the game, old clues may show up on screen, don't get too excited!

The clue was a matchbox from a hotel in the redlight district...but I searched an didn't see it anywhere.

This game is pretty awesome IMO. I read the comics and they were awesome. I'm going to go see it in IMAX once the buzz wears off and I can watch it peacefully.

I managed to snag Rorschach in game, if you see me, try and chat with me, I haven't seen that feature work yet. Can't wait for the server issues to resolve themselves.

edit: Also, I was reading this thread and wanted to comment, so when I joined I said you referred me Brazilian Rider, hope you don't mind

A tip for battles that i have figured out, when fighting someone who has the nightstick, odds are theyll use it first cause it is usaully is a one hit kill, use any defensive skill and it does alot less damage. It has seemed to be working for me cause ive got 29 battle wins now.

I still need the clue after the Gunga Diner. Everyone tells me I have to go to a club in the RLD but it HAS NOT shown up yet. Gettin' me angry, but then I thought: Maybe there is a level limit? You have to reach so and so levels before the next part of the mission pops up? It makes sense because the last time I leveled up I was able to find clues I searched but haven't been able to find before...

EDIT: Guess who was right? I was. There is some sort of a level per clue cap that you must reach. I found it strange how I am level 7 and have 7 story points so I'll run through and find out where I have to go in order to test out my next hypothesis. OP will be updated soon. Thanks for all your support!

Yea yea I remember you. No secrets really i've just figured out about how the fighting and ranking systems work by trail and error... And plus I've spent the 3 nights at work playing it from about 11pm-6am pst, so I've gotten probbly even more hours on the game then the debs...heheee..the severs run reeeeeaaallyy well during those hours, really smooth like and fast...I hope they work on the battle systems here quik tho cause Knot top is the only one I can fight without killing in one hit..he takes 2, 3 if he use's a defensive skill....I also have found a really good combo of fighting skills, the sword and the jump kick, do the kick and then the sword and even Knot top will be done in 2....hope 2 see any of you on sometime and hope I can help alittle.

By sword do you mean the purple knife?

Which would you recommend, the knife or night stick?

No I've got the knife, didn't really like it tho...it's a sword and it's super tough...and the nightstick kills the knife.. The knife is a slow attack, if you've noticed it's normally the counter move and takes less damage, the nightstick is a fast attack and normally the first to strike.

well just an FYI i couldnt get to clue 9 until i got to exp lvl 10

EDIT: and im having trouble finding clue 10 so im guessing i need to get to lvl 11 first.

The only thing that the glich is really good for is going around the city to see where all of the future story points are going to be...

I think it's real.. 'cause I was outside of clue #6 and it wasnt visble. Then I knocked someone out who walked by to level up and then it popped up.

haha sorry. I think it must be a glitch. I have been so busy with offline things that I never did get to go into the game to get screenshots for Brazilian but I will def do it tomorrow after I come back from uptown.

I got xp points for 25(200xp), 50(500xp) and when i hit 100 i did not get any xp for some reason, so im hoping to get more xp when hit 150.

Thats what i do. I havent gotten any xp level up for 2days now...Are they capping how much you can do per day?

Probably not, it's only normal that the higher level you get the harder it is to level up.

In theory, yes, but I have only collected 25 outfit pieces and all the dumpsters are empty.

My connection problem has gotten better in the fact I can now see people walking around but still bad that when I challenge them it doesn't connect.

Not everyone has the same costume pieces. I made a second character [(my current one)], and i'm still missing some eyeware that I had for my first one.

I havnt been able to find anything in a dumpster since Sunday morn. My connection seems to be working really good rightnow, it's loading my person fast everytime....but yea I can't fight anyone, not even Knot top, all I can really do at the moment is take a virtaul tour thru New York...aleast the servers are working ok now it seems.

I imagine leveling up involves fighting people. How do I fight people? Every time a fight is initiated I get the messages 'connecting' and 'connection failed.' I have uninstalled and reinstalled and reset and none of that helps. Is there a trick to it?

Not really. The server has been really crappy lately.

Ahh I wondered around and went through my first battle. Got bored shortly and deleted the game. I'll probably run through the game again with the help of these walkthrough!

This is getting frustrating... No new items in dumpsters... Knot-Tops arent doing anything... and no one will fight me when i challenge them.... grrrr.

EDIT: one guy finally fought me. i winned. yayz. it didnt say anything about me gaining xp though and then it started messing up again so i quit. again.

lol but it's addicting. with less crashes (yes, they are really that bad), it would be like a 4/5.

If you wait a second/minute when it loads you into that black screen it will load up most of the time if you wait.

Also, those crazy Knot-Tops suddenly vanish some times when I tap on them and then other times I never get close enough to fight them. I actually managed one battle with ONE of them and I won! Yay.

Also I noticed no XP gain but maybe I wasn't playing long enough.

thats not clue 10. its clue 3. i know why you think it is though. same thing happened to me. i found clue 10 actually before and thats not it. it was just a glitch in the game to make that appear for some reason.

I've had to delete the game and reinstall numerous times now to fix in the login issue where it crashes after the Dr Manhatten loading screen comes up. This game's way to buggy and issues prevent you from leveling. I had one character with over 200 defeated criminals, but I was stuck at level 8 because I was unable to find anymore costume parts. I started another character and didn't level up my character until I had 80 parts; after about 85 parts I got XP points but no new items to use, no increase in my collected stats and after 95 (guessing) the annoying empty dumpsters were back.

Hmmm... This is probably unethical, but there's still that leveling up glitch you can use in DT... And there's only 12 clues so far, so you aren't missing out on much --> I really hope the next update [(whenever that is)] will 1) fix everything and 2) have more clues... And as you level up, the fighting "skills" arent even skills.. they're boardline psychotic weaponry.

Heh. I know what you mean. I just got the "chainsaw" skill, or at least it finally registered on the system. The fighting scheme seems to be just a rock, paper, scissors variant; not much strategy there. And instead of calling it an Advanced Release, or whatever they called it on the app store, it should clearly be stated as Beta software; maybe that's even being to gracious.

It is REALLY buggy! I wouldn't be so annoyed if I didn't want it to work SO badly! It has tons of potential, but is becoming unbearable. I'm level eight and can't find or collect the next clue (it says I have seven parts, but think I skipped one as I'm trying to find the guy in the hat, but haven't found a body - also found the jacket really early on), my costume parts dissapear then reappear, my character compeletely changes at random (sometimes pretty drastically), it disconnects, crashes, leaves my character in no mans land, moves me, etc, etc. Please fix it! Please!!!

Up till today i couldn't get it from the UK appstore... although now i wish i hadn't as it keeps crashing.

Still... it might explain why performance has recently got worse if lots of new users are online.

Man I am glad I found this forum! Been stuck at lvl 8 for 3 days now and finally got enough pvp to gain lvl 9, can now continue with story but all the dumpsters are still empty.

Is it just me or does the first strike always win at lvl 9... I have a pretty balanced set, only 1 lvl in defense though but I can almost 2 shot anyone my lvl because it seems like I put 3 lvls into hitpooints and the rest in attack...
will be fun to ROSHAMBO some people once this sucker is stable enough to try different builds.

I had same problem at lvl 8 I got in a fight with pvp and finally got a lvl message and defeated "whoever" message to get a lvl up button...
Now I'm stuck on the pimp card clue... arghhhhhhh

I think there's a button that gives you the option of fighting with your clothes on or off.

Fight in the nude and lewd...or fight in your costume.

Hmm... If you log into DT and in the cutscene you see the clue at the nightstand is there, that means you can glitch! You dont have to necessarily be naked i dont think...

The way it worked for me was that I fought the KT that was in the alley on top of the clue. Then when I got out of the fight, I double tapped and rushed my azz to that clue cuz there's a certain amount of time before the server catches up to you.

Yeah.. That's why you should try to chill by the 1st clue as long as possible.. if you have a high 'move' stat, you can get there pretty quick.

No, you won't lose your character as long as you lose the same login name and all.
And I have tried this and been successful BUT it keeps going back to this problem so I'm just giving up on trying until the update comes out.

NO it's username and password based nothing is stored except that in the app location it seems, so basically you can create an unlimited amount of characters as well...

It's frustrating but I got lvl 10 by exiting entering exiting entering until I lagged enough to hit the exclamation mark. I don't have any new attacks or dumpster trash to wear so it's somewhat pointless.

Just registered to say a couple of things, I'm level 14 still stuck on the clue where it lets you fight the knot-top after at the cemetry i don't think they developed it this far as in the text it says a man with large wings, i think something like these glitch wings.

Secondly the query about the "You have to level before moving on with the story" is correct it says so in the guide on this website "http://www.watchmenjusticeiscoming.com/WM_JIC_Game_Guide.pdf" Just at "V.", Sorry if i'm late i didn't fancy reading all 17 pages of this thread, plus you can hold the lock button for ages before pressing the circle button to take a picture (don't know the names :confused:)

very interesting thanks, I have nothing for shoulders but have had glitched visible metallic looking pads before that stuck for a day. I had an awsome motorcycle helmet and Comedian style mask that were a glitch for awhile... The wierd wings apparently, only 1 set of wrist bracers black with some spikes, I have had glitch ones that were different though. I don't have the mohawk head option only hair and bald and a bunch of hats, no helmet which I want badly. My pants are all zzzzzz, I use the yellow bruce lee roll ups the rest look funky. Capes are idiotic, the red stars and stripes one is awesome though and I wear it occasionally. the only shoes I like are the addidas gazzelle style soccer blue white stripe ones, the rest are plain and boring. anyway I want to see some screen grabs of costumes guys!

I wouldn't include the sploits though, but I am sure they are aware. sucks warner had to rush them on this project, I hope to see many cloudmmo games in the future. when I add a lvl-up point un STR, it only gives me between 0 to 3 stats points, is that normal ? could it be linked to the description you pick when you create your character ?

I had this problem but after a couple more attempts I played for a while without it crashing on me, plus although all of my costume parts where gone the new ones are quite awesome much better than my old ones, so somethinga must be going right. I do feel the longer they keep this in the store with the bugs the more people will download it get annoyed and low rate it :(

I'm guessing everyone got the update and logged on at same time overloading the server/s more stress testing.

I can't believe the amount of excuses and slack we're giving the "developer" and this "app". I use both these terms loosely as this "game" has become ridiculous.
When is enough...well, enough? This game continues to suck, continues to crash, continues to basically be unplayable.
What exactly did this update improve?

You guys have big plans for this game? Uh, I dunno, maybe fix it before releasing it world wide? Nah, that would have made sense....so release it to everyone in the world so they all too can feel the frustration of one of the buggiest apps in the app store.

At what point does "potential" really become what this app is...a scam. You all should be embarrased to have released this, and I'm personally disgusted at how poorly this game works.

It is almost funny as to how bad this game is. Almost. It would be funny if I actually didn't waste my money. Yeah yeah, I know, it's only $.99, but I've said it before, it's the principle of the matter. I payed for a game..wether I like it or not is not the question, but I should be able to play it....

I'm going to put things a little more forceful as I think it's more than time to start demanding and not requesting.
Instead of "Try again please", I'm going to go out on a limb here and just say "Fix it!!"

Beta tests especially on a new platform and especially for an MMO on a device with limited memory and hardware you have to expect it to be buggy for at least a few revisions. I have beta tested many MMO Matrix Online, Anarchy Online, Middle Earth Online, Eve Online, Star Wars Galaxies... etc and none fo them have been stable within the first couple months even. Being patient is a quality MMO gamers just need to have, it's unfortunate but a necessity being on a new frontier.

No Joke man... It was pretty buggy the first few hours after the patch came out, but I actually have no problems with this game now. Also being a big fan of multiplayer gaming I really appreciate that someone is finally making a game like this for the ipod/iphone.

Besides, I would much rather spend my $.99 on a game like this than on somthing like ibeer that I just use once then delete.

I've been having crash issues in downtown only, it seems that when it is loading other people onto the screen for me. The way the asset server is coded or something. Probably because everyone starts downtown it gets over loaded.

Really? Do you mean the "imprisoned and brick walled" part literally? If so do please post a screen shot.

Also, a note to Jmiphonedev... The game has been running much better for me now since the update, and I like the new costumes allot better, but I am once again having the problem with empty dumpsters.

Nope. It's gotten better now. If it doesn't work and you don't have a connection, do what it says and open up an internet page! It actually works! Before my iPod got busted (I was on the LAST day of warranty and it broke so I was able to get a replacement....) I could play no problem with VERY few connection failures, the few I did get were fixed by opening a safari window.

Wow thanks guys I might actually reinstall this game now because it was real glitchy and slow when I first played it. I thought it was a cool idea just horribly executed but I'll give it another chance now.

So like i got to the end of the story line and you end up at the front of an angel grave site in the cemetary and it says that theres a "masked man" behind you with a switchblade and all...but the only fight sequence is a knot top dude...really anti-climatic... im seriously hoping they add some new enemies and that epic final boss!

Had a really good fight a couple days ago, had 1 hp after first hit and dropped him on second shot.

We should set up a fight club.

and yeah people with like 40hp are tough to beat even with a glass cannon build.

I'm working on a balanced hp build now, the fights last longer over 2 hits and the actual rock paper scissors comes into play more.

Clue 12 is as far as the story goes for now. You can have unlimited characters it seems.
Hope they are developing some more stories, it is still saying it's a pre-release in app store so I assume more is coming.

It is the following...

Butterfly Inkblot
Atk: 2
Def: 5
Mov: 8
Health: 12

The wussy starting set IMO. Girly Slap Atk Stat but HIGH Def/Health. If you are more into being defensive then offensive...go for it.

Clown Face Inkblot
Atk: 5
Def: 2
Move: 5
Health: 11

Classic Glass Cannon Stats. Big ATK and decent Health. Can't take a hit though...If you prefer Bum Rushing this is your starter.

Dead Dog Inkblot
Atk: 3
Def: 4
Mov: 6
Health: 10

The Most Rounded of the Four. Average Everything. If you like Balance this is your choice.

Skull Inkblot
Atk: 4
Def: 3
Mov: 7
Health: 13

My Personal Favorite. Also rounded with a little more Atk then Def but backs it up with the highest starting Health. IMO this is the best starter.

Note: I have not come across a need to invest level ups into Move as it only effects you outside of battle. Unless the next Patch/Update changes that...just focus on Atk, Def and Health to what you prefer.

Newer Glitch/Exploit (use at your own Risk)
This method is has two sides a quick way and a slower then the Story Point point way. But in addition to XP you get Costume stuff it's also pretty simple and requires no precise timing like the other Exploit needed. AND like all Glitch/Exploits use at your risk! You have been warned!

The Quick Exp Way
(confirmed that glitch piles 20xp for finding costume pieces but it depends on lag i think I've stacked 120XP maximum on 1 dumpster.)

1) Go to DT look at your map.

2) Head to the "L" Shaped alley way by Liquors Italian and find the three (3) dumpsters. (on the side of the fenced in basketball court.)

3) Check a dumpster and as soon as you find a costume piece start making your character move around (preferably into the fence below you) Your character should bounce like it's lagging. If you see 20 exp continuously appearing then you did the "quick version". It should last for a minute.

4) Go to Menu > Game Options > Exit Game

5) Log in and Rinse, Lather & Repeat

Note: The good thing about this is that you 90% of the time start in front of the 3 dumpsters making it easier to start over. If you find yourself getting transported after your first find on one of the dumpsters, don't fret, just walk back to the dumpsters.

Slow Way

1) Same as above

2) Same as above

3) Same as above except instead search all three dumpsters and DON'T move around.

4) Same as above

5) Same as above

You do unlock the rumored black wings though! Plus more clothing and stuff is enabled! New Battle music and sound effects too!

I downloaded 2.0, tried to go onto one of the new levels (a roof) and that's the last time the game worked, almost 5 days ago. No answers from their support staff. I've stuck with the game for months but this is stretching things...

I have finished -city park- intro-, -political rally- part 1, -club 75- part 2

I am stuck at this point the clue was given by a woman at the club saying
"The PIRATES are doing the hustle in the mist." then it gives you a match question which is 124-17, so PIRATES is in a different color in the clue as well.

The number 107 doesn't fit any of the locations and on the last clue 75 was the answer which was the club 75. There is no pirate type locations except rumrunners but there is no ! at that location.

So did anyone complete this part?

I'm suprised you even can play through the bugs. I've used both my 1g and 2g and can't play it for more than two minutes without a crash. The last update was horrid when It opened up alot of stuff which if it wasn't for the bugs, would of been great. And now I don't see them ever fixing or updating this game because they probably lost 90% of their players......

If it makes you feel any better the final boss of the second act is bugged to, has 8 hit points and even when you kill her in 1 hit, it says you were defeated. Then you get a rather uneventful outro that looks like they were planning to add another chapter to find a person who set you up.
