Any way that somebody could provide an idea and you have somebody create it and the person who gives the idea gets a percentage of the sales:D(some of us don't have programming or art skills, or a mac):o

Unfortunately, ideas aren't worth anything unless they are made :)

I half agree. With your idea, try to come up with some artwork and sound effects. There might be a developer interested in splitting profits at that point.

Well how does this sound. I can do artwork / 3D graphics (basic). I can do the website. I just need the dev to do the coding. Does that sound better?

Can you show us your portfolio?
I remember I saw your iPhone wallpapers and they didn't look nice at all.
At least I can do better than you, and I'm NOT GOOD.

I hope you improved your skill in the last 3 weeks, otherwise I don't think you can work on non-DS Effects game.

How did this switch from a Chillingo announcement to criticizing other peoples abilities and dreams?

I don't wanna give it out. But it involves a 3D enviroment; and a little plane

It's not about dreams, it's about being realistic.
I'd love to work for Nintendo, but I'm not ready yet... if I'll ever be.

I just wanted to tell the guy that he should improve his skills before to think big.

You should take another look. I've already worked on an app; working on my second. Think before you type.

I hope u go far in whatever u pursue and keep on moving. There will always be critics and don't give up. Learn X code. Make a game and prove them wrong. It's no easy task.
But it's a task that can be accomplished
@bulletdev
How has your experiance with chillingo been so far?

Ah, ok...I didn't know about that. Which app?
Can't belive you dramatically improved your skills in the last two months! :)

But I'm ready to be surprised.

Rolly. I did the backgrounds though the screenshots have not been updated.

Don't judge me by my wallpapers; I don't put a lot of effort on them (my best one is one I did for myself though. I attached it).

But I think we should get back to topic here. I'm amazed at how Chillingo is releasing so many games at once!!

Mh...ok... so let's wait for this Rolly updates and not judge you for the wallpapers.
But...I'm always sincere, I don't like most of your wallpapers, so, if you don't like them neither, don't put them online.
Or...just make them and upload the best ones.

Actually, the one you attached here now is not too bad.

Good luck for everything, but...remember: always do your best and, more important, show the people the best of you.

Don't be too surprised that Chillingo is releasing so many games so quickly.

It's important to note that they do not actually DEVELOP the games, they publish, which is a whole other business of there own. They are like ngmoco:).

Chillingo released Zen Bound, which I believed was developed by Secret Exit. ngmoco:) regrets passing up the decision to publish Zen Bound, but now they are working with those developers.

No ngmoco has(so far) developed all their games they were just asked to to publish a game, but refused for whatever reason(maybe too much hassle with all their games that they are up to). An example is that look at Zenbound's page and where you see "Seller" it will show "Chillingo copyright SecretExit" while when you look at every single ngmoco game it says under "Seller" it says ngmoco copyright ngmoco. There's more games like that but this is an easy example.

But just to be clear and reiterate ngmoco are the developers of their own game while Chillingo are publishers.

Is the reason people don't publish their own game is because of the legal problems and the didn't purchase the SDK? Or is their different reasons, because I don't see why you can't just publish your own games, their must be something im missing...

No ngmoco has(so far) developed all their games

Except a small game you might have heard of called Rolando. ;) That's by Hand Circus, with ngmoco as publisher.

Actually, ngmoco is a large publishing entity and developer.

Rolando was developed by Hand Circus.

TouchPets is being developed by Stumptown Games (Located a few blocks from me.)

They are working with Secret Exit right now for another game.

Here is a quote from this article I found on this subject:
http://venturebeat.com/tag/congmoco/

"Internally, Ngmoco employs 26 people, but it farms out game development to smaller studios so that 50 or 60 people are working on games now. Young said the company was ahead of its business plan but declined to disclose whether the firm was profitable. Tim Chang of Norwest will join Ngmoco’s board."

Not that ngmoco:) having other people do the work is a bad thing. It allows them to work on many projects and ensure the quality.

In regards to having other companies publish the games of the development team:

Publishers finance and commission the development of other games. They inject the necessary capital for a development to focus their efforts on the game (publisher pays for salaries, wages, tools, etc.) and the development does the actual development. Publisher is also responsible for the marketing and public relations.

Not in all cases.
