So what did I use?


I installed “Five Icon Dock”, “ReflectiveDock”, and “LiveClock” from Cydia.
In Winterboard I enabled “Transparent Dock” and “No Undocked Icon Labels”
And then I applied my theme.


I just mixed some themes and packages. Credit goes to those who made the themes; I just mixed them.

All I am looking for is something like Dannys95 where there is a folder for games so I don't have to look through many pages. Danny, I downloaded your theme, but I am confused as to how I go about putting it on my iTouch. I saw all the folders in it and I know I will have to use winscp to put em on, but I don't know where. Please could you help me? :)

first SSH in with winscp

above the righthand column (Which shows your ipod's contents) it should say root with a folder next to it.

click that and then click where it says "/ <root>" which should be at the top of the list from the drop down menu

then click library which is near the middle of the list

and then click themes which is down at the bottom

then just drag danny's theme from the right side into the themes folder on the right side (be careful not to drag danny's theme into a preexisting theme)

The folders is a app on Cydia called category. Follow the steps posted to install my theme. :cool:

Well heck I don't wanna delete apps cause of the 9 page limit. Plus just put them into the folder and use QuickGold if you can't wait a few seconds.

I dont have a theme really, on winterboard i installed the wayne enterprises lockscreen, made the dock translucent, and uplosded a pic of me and my girlfriend to the background. I have winterboard and cydia in the top corner, and the four on the bottom. I use sbsettings to hide everything except the icons mentioned, and i use quickgold to search

I love my ipod :)

OK so I hope I'm not bugging Grumpy too much. I went and got the default LiveClock.ttf and named it .bak

Replaced it with the Neutraface font and hoped it would look like his. But it only changed the top? Any help guys? It's attached so you see how my lock screen is looking.

You can find that Lockscreen (first image) on Cydia. I have it.
I'm pretty sure it's called Minimal LockScreen, well my Winteboard says I'm using Minimal Light Lockscreen so that must be it.

I just installed iElegance from cydia. It looks very nice, and has a good range of icons. It even comes with a blank icon generator, allowing you to create a blank row at the top easily.

What is OpenSSH, and do I need it?

It's a way to directly connect your device to your computer. You can connect your device to your computer and then browse every file that you have on your device from the comfort of your computer. You use programs like Cyberduck (Mac) or WinSCP (Windows) to use SSH. Some themes aren't available for download in Cydia, so you must transfer them via SSH. Also, I had to edit the WeatherWidget so I could customize it to work with my town. I had to SSH my iPod to my computer to do other things like reinstall Cydia, get custom Touchgrind boards, etc. It's very cool, and rather simple :)

If you have a jailbroken iPod, then yes, OpenSSH is a great thing to have. It doesn't hurt to have it, because you never know when you may need it. Cydia was constantly crashing on me, so I was lucky that I downloaded OpenSSH before it started crashing. Because I had it, I was able to connect it to my computer, use terminal, and get Cydia up and running again. So I would say, yes, you need OpenSSH :)

It's a way to directly connect your device to your computer. You can connect your device to your computer and then browse every file that you have on your device from the comfort of your computer. You use programs like Cyberduck (Mac) or WinSCP (Windows) to use SSH. Some themes aren't available for download in Cydia, so you must transfer them via SSH. Also, I had to edit the WeatherWidget so I could customize it to work with my town. I had to SSH my iPod to my computer to do other things like reinstall Cydia, get custom Touchgrind boards, etc. It's very cool, and rather simple :)

If you have a jailbroken iPod, then yes, OpenSSH is a great thing to have. It doesn't hurt to have it, because you never know when you may need it. Cydia was constantly crashing on me, so I was lucky that I downloaded OpenSSH before it started crashing. Because I had it, I was able to connect it to my computer, use terminal, and get Cydia up and running again. So I would say, yes, you need OpenSSH :)

Why dont you upload the theme to cydia? It would me much easier for many ppl, including me, cause I can't never get it to work doing SSH.

IT is much easier to download and install from cydia.

You will have to add the iFoneguide repo into Cydia, there is a download for it in Cydia but it is returning error messages and will not install but you can manually add it to your repo list by opening Cydia and select the "Manage" tab at the bottom. Then select "Sources" and on the top right "Edit", on the left press "Add" and type http://cydia.ifoneguide.nl and then press add source and it will be added to your repositories.

Then go to the "Search" tab at the bottom and enter "iTorque-BuufArt " and select it from the list, press "Install" on the top right and then "Confirm" and it will download and install the theme.


Then close Cydia and open Winterboard (If you don't have Winterboard do a search in Cydia and install it), the theme should be listed, select it and respring.

Just an update... I switched from BeeJive to IM+ as my instant messenger. Since IM+ now covers my Text Messaging, Twitter, and Instant Messaging needs, I got rid of both Messages and Beejive and put IM+ in the DockFlow theme, as shown below. I'll include the new icon in case anyone out there using DockFlow wants to do the same thing.

The only way Winterboard should drain any more battery is if it has something running. As I understand it, all Winterboard does (with *most* themes) is change what graphics the system will load. Cydia doesn't host a lot of themes, because a lot of themes are custom made to fit the user's preferences. You guys need to check other forums for topics on these things.

I did a little tweak to the Wood Shelves theme I posted before. I wanted something to personalize it. I found a nifty-looking tattoo of Yggdrassil, the tree from Norse mythology. I thought it was appropriate given the woodsy feel of the existing background.

So I made the tattoo into a carving on the wall behind the shelves, letting a little bit of the tattoo's color show like a stain on the wood. Here's the result:

I think that can be only done on a JB'ing program like quickfreedom where you set it up before hand. I am pretty sure there is no way to change it once jailbroken.

WiFi address is your ipod's mac-address, used to connect to wifi.
IP address is based on your wifi connection.

I'm not really an expert on this, but I'm pretty sure it's not the same.

no it doesn't, you're going to have the change the lockbackground by replacing the original with your choice using SSH. however, if you want that background, you can download 50 abstract backgrounds by searching abstract in cydia, you should be able to find it.

Hmm any suggestions on a very artistic/abstract complete themes (changes themes of everything, not just springboard), preferably with a piano or violin in it, with very clear visibility (ie text is easy to read from background color, icons are neat, isn't so messy that it hurts the eye to see)? Currently I'm using the leaf bookshelf theme, it's very tidy and creative as all the apps sit on the shelf like books.
