I have over 500 apps on my Touch. I used categories to put them into seven folders based on what the first letter of their name is. Then I discovered Quick Gold.
You press Home and it brings up a search bar and keyboard. Type part of the name of the app and it appears, ready to click and start!! AND the apps don't have to show on the Springboard for it to work. It remembers your last five apps also.
Works for much more than apps.

Is your ipotch jailbroken? Because you only can have 9 pages with 16 apps on each page:confused:

So you use Categories but also install QuickGold?

Yep. Categories let me consolidate 500+ apps into 7 App icons in the Springboard. Quick Gold lets me quickly go to any one of them. I can play something faster this way than someone whose app in on the fifth page or so :D

This will be completely useless with iPhone 3.0, plus quickgold keeps on popping up when I don't even want it to

Like I said, i had to restore twice and it was all because of Quickgold, anybody knows why?
Like I installed quickgold, then i bought an app and it was installing and then the ipod rebooted and then it wouldnt turn on again and i had to restore. Then i jailbroke again, installed everything including quickgold and then it wouldnt turn on again. I miss it but ill wait till 3.0 is out.
