Just saw this on Jormy's twitter (http://twitter.com/jormy):
Hi, we're still alive. Working on an update (63 new levels) and various stuff. Due sometimes later this month. PhD is to blame for lateness.

Nothing. :)
I'll report the post to a moderator so that he/she can move it to the correct subforum. :)
(In the future, you can do that by clicking the red triangle button next to the post number at the top right of every post.)

I really hope they will be of mixed difficulty. There are a few people who've finished all 40 basic missions and all ski levels (I'm one of them) and I'd like to have a challenge as well.
If 21 would be "easy" (like mission 1-15), 21 would be "medium" (mission 16-30 difficulty) and 21 would be really hard (like mission 31-40 and even harder) that would be really great. It would be like an entire new game with progressing difficulty. :)

The difficulty will be mostly harder, but paced in such a way that you'll get longer progression of difficulty. Also, I'm making the stage start much shorter and auto-restart when you die (who saves replays when they die anyways?)
If there's anymore changes (little changes) you want, then go ahead and list them :)

How many levels are there in total now? I haven't even started playing this except for a few levels so I know how awesome this is.

123 levels, which made that 63 new levels post a mistake, since there's actually 83 new levels.
I've gone through the first 20 new levels, and I'll make the difficulty plateau at around level 16-25. The rest will be like level 30-40. The first few new levels will be introductory difficulty, so as not to dip newcomers into cold water.. heh

Really awesome news!! Thanks for clarifying.
Are you going to change the menu a bit? (Make the first player stuff more prominent and focus less on the multiplayer in the first menu screen)
underthesun

Yeah, I'll change the menu, don't worry ;)

Cool. You said to list the small changes we wanted, so I just wanted to make sure.
I can't really think of anything else at the moment. The shorter starts of each level are nice, as well as the quicker restart after you die. It makes sense that way.
Edit - P.S. You're following me with your personal Twitter, right? I thought it was you, but I'm not sure. (It matches the e-mail address on your website)

Cool, all these feedback are always good. There's some other features I'm thinking of, but anything I implement for SN will be available for the next game as well (UI additions etc). Really, doing these levels are procrastination from doing uni work.
I was about to re-skin space ninja so it's all in 3D, but it's probably better to keep it in 2D to preserve frame rate etc.. too many bullets won't go so well when drawn in 3D I think.
Anyways, I thought it's about time to start working on the next game, right after this one update.

The Space Ninja update is out now and the game is on sale for 99 cents. You'd be stupid to pass this up. 123 levels of madness!! This game is awesome.

I know this thread is a little old, but it was the most recent one and i didn't want to start a new one just for this question!
My question is about the games power ups: I never played the old version so I don't know when they were introduced to the game, but I'm at mission 21 now and I didn't used any power ups yet. But not because I didn't would have need them, but because I never saw one!
And thats why I'm a little confused now, because I don't now if they're just introduced later on, or if it's a bug.
So could someone please clear this up for me?

They're more like items than power-ups. Did you check the items page? You have to go close to the "+" things and you'll be able to absorb them.. and btw the power-ups were a last-minute thing..
btw the power-ups were a last minute development thing, and I thought they weren't really necessary, just for the "cool" factor. Beating without powerups will give you more medals ;)

Sure I checked the items page! But when I click the items-button, the game just pauses and there are no items or power-ups! When do they get introduced to the game? From the first level up or later on? Because in the 20 levels I played so far I never saw one of those "+" things! So could it be a bug or am I doing something wrong?
btw: Great, great game! Difficult, but in a good kind of way! Everytime I die, I want to try it again, just because I know I can beat it! So congrats on the game!!!

If someone has issues with finished levels being removed please say so.
I seem to be the only one with this issue.
Underthesun/Jormy can't reproduce it either.
(For example a random level you already finished before is 'empty' again (no progress/medals/replays), or after finishing several levels you close and re-open the game and those levels are 'empty' again but the next unlocked levels are still available)

In level 7, (either that or 11), you can see a "+" thing next to one of the early turrets. Move closer to that thing and you'll be able to absorb the power-ups, see if that works.
And yeah, I'm keen to hear any reports of what spmwinkel's been experiencing. Would be really great to fix bugs like this early on rather than later (when the next games come out)
