Don't have C&C on iPad. So I can't comment on that.

But, I have Settlers HD on iPad. If you have grown up, like me, playing The Settlers and all of it's versions on the PC. You'd feel at home with this iPad port.
It's awesome stuff. But, only recommended if you enjoy/love/feel at home with this game. The game mechanics and all is similar to that of the PC version.

The tutorial isn't very good at all, doesn't teach you much, if at all. The game is far more complicated than what the tutorials teaches it to be.

And, I'd rather you have first hand experience with the game on the PC before playing it on the iPad.

But, I have Settlers HD on iPad. If you have grown up, like me, playing The Settlers and all of it's versions on the PC. You'd feel at home with this iPad port.

Actually I play The Settlers on my friend's iPod Touch. The screen was small, so controlling the people were very difficult. The tutorial for me was very understandable, so I play the game with no problems. Also has a South Korean I have a love for RTS games, so what the hell thanks for the info! I'll buy it right now. :D

My friends who had have no prior experience on The Settlers before were totally stuck at chapter 3 of episode one when the tutorial finally ended. That's where my view came from.

How good are Ridge Racer Accelerated and Split/Second?

I've only played a few races of each, but Split/Second appears to be mediocre at best. It's pretty poor graphically compared to other high profile iPhone racers, and the sound effects are laughable. The racing is unexciting and the power plays that the game is built around don't add the excitement I was hoping for.

Ridge Racer is pretty good. The car physics are very strange though. It seems like you're driving on black ice or something. I think that is part of its charm though. I've never played another Ridge Racer game so it may be that the car physics are something that have been deliberately tuned that way throughout the series. It's a bit annoying that to get all the tracks and cars you have to put down another $5 for IAPs, but my first impression of it is that it's a solid and unique racer.

RR has no physics whatsoever. Pure arcade, I hate it and it was a waste of a buck back then, thought there might be an update, but ... wast of 40+MB on my device, but somehow many guys and gals like it.

It took a few years, but I think I've finally learned to not bite at these sales. Almost every app that I've ever paid for has gone free at least once. Every single day dozens of quality apps go free, and at least one of them each day is usually as good as any paid app.

I'll never get around to really playing hundreds of the free apps I already own, and with several more every day, why would I pay for anything?

Obviously, this business model wouldn't work if everyone followed it....
