Nope, and I doubt there ever will be. Two screens a little larger than the iPhone/iPod Touchs' =/= One iPhone/iPod Touch screen.

Then again, if you could use Bluetooth to link two iTouches......hehehe

It would be a good way to use your old iDevices though.

Its called the "Ipad"- And im sure there will be a ds emulator. Its not that hard to play games that only require the stylus, or just buy gamebone or any other pad/wiimote

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for example as a ds on iphone game

Wow, that's pretty big news, I hope it comes out soon. I'm not quite sure how well the controls would work, but it should still be good.

REJECTED!!!

Anyways, about the format, I like the idea of a full screen with a button to switch between the two. Also I just remembered that the 4th gen idevices have retina so even if it was portrait, it could possibly be at standard resolution.

Since july....
And we have not heard any news since.
It is to hard people. Full 3d games will NOT be playable...

Some of the games that don't require viewing both screens simultaneously might work.
New Super Mario Bros. and the Castlevanias could work with a screen swapping button.

The only reason I'd be surprised to see it on ios is that the PC DS emulators still aren't quite up there yet in terms of speed. Then again computers have Windows and what-not running in the background.

Sure would be cool though. I'm already begging Griptonite Games to port Shattered Dimensions DS onto the iphone.

While I'm wishing it'd be sweet if Konami would port any of the Castlevania DS games to the iphone. Gameplay on them only takes place on one screen and I'm sure they'd sell like hotcakes with all the Castlevania fans out there.

I know there'd be some control issues, but I'd suffer through them and pay top price and it's not like they'd have to create the games from scratch.

There will never be an official one on the app store. Ever.

Cydia may get one someday, but don't hold your breath.

I have fun playing earthbound on my iPad with a wii remote :)

Ports of non-nintendo games from the DS are possible though since they did that with Assassin's Creed 2.

Yes, but that doesnt mean emulation is possible.

The best thing is to buy the DS und support the developers by buying their games. Sure, the games are not cheap but they are totally worth the money. I've never seen anything as good and long as the Pokémon or Zelda Games on the iDevice's.
I hope that there never will be an DS emulator for Apples Devices. There are too many people who are pirating the games for Nintendo consoles and that's sad. :(

Nope, DS emulation on PC is full speed. They even got Nintendo Wi-fi working for some time, then nintendo blocked it. You just have to get the newer builds, and adjust it to your machine.

True. What I meant was that's another possible way for us to see DS games on the Iphone, that's all.
Well non-Nintendo games at least.

I have a DSI and actually own the games I'd want to play on an emulator. The reason I'd want to play them on an emulator as opposed to the actual system is to be able to see them in higher resolution and with texture filtering.
I know it's nitpicky, but I don't like the playstation unfiltered look.

That's the same reason I'll mess with some of my Wii games on the Dolphin emulator. You can bump up the resolution really high and see what it would look like if the Wii supported 1080.

Oh alright It's been a little while since I checked out newer builds. Last time I tried New Super Mario Bros ran alright, but Order of Ecclesia didn't run well.

Nintendo ga es are too expnsive and they keep them full priced lojg after launch. Look how much all wii first party games still go for. Who wants to pay 30 bucks for a ds game in this day and age when there are better ios games out for a buck? Look at aralon. The ds has nothing on or like it and its only seven bucks. Or look at real racing 2. What sim like games dos the ds have? Or look at gamelofts recent lineup. And if u dont like ios just compare the ds game prices to recent steam sales like the indy game paxk with and yet it moves included for five bucks.

Thanks I will. I'd love to see konami spritework like that (or dawn of sorrow) on a castlevania platformer for iPhone.

I don't think it would ever work. You'd have to make room for the buttons and the touch screen. And the DS uses a stylus for a reason, most games require precision with the touch screen when playing. Can't exactly let your thumb get in the way when you're playing games like Trauma Center.

Just get an old DS for fifty and a flashcart for twenty. Problem solved.

edit: Also, you won't have the inevitable slow framerates that will come from emulating (just look at the PSX emu)...and you won't have any of the screen space issues as described in the post above.
