Gameloft's Metroidvania type game?

Does anyone remember the name of the metroidvania style game that Gameloft's working on and when it's coming out? Thanx in advance.

I vaguely remember something..... Perhaps it was a java game. I think it was a Java game for regular cell phones that was essentially a clone of Castlevania. I can't remember the title. Anyway, someone speculated as to whether Gameloft might make a iPhone port. Nothing came of it. There was no annoucement by Gameloft or anything. Just wishful thinking on the part of one particular forum user. I could be wrong about this, because this subject definitely came up a long time ago. Probably over a year ago.

Gist of it is that there is no Metroidvania type game being developed by Gameloft for the iPhone.

I can't remember the name. But it was a DS game that they made.

I remember there was a thread on here of people wondering if we'd get it on iOS. But it was never announced.

Got it too. Definitely fun. But clearly outside Gameloft's iPhone strategy.

They also did a Pokemon clone for the DS.

Because Soul of Darkness was 2D, Gameloft only makes 3D games for the iPhone and iPad

That's not true. The earthworm jimm remake and castle of magic say otherwise. And the app store doesn't have a castlevania or that type of game yet.

Well I meant recently, neither of those games were released in 2010 and either way Castle of Magic is partly 3D

I hear that Devil Hunter - The Wings is pretty close to Castlevania and Grokion is pretty similar to Metroid, but there's still nothing similar to Symphony of the Night. I'm just hoping Gameloft eventually makes a game similar to it.

Ive ever heard of Grokion till now, its amazing all the unheard or unhyped gems the app store has you never hear about. Anyway, I think Gameloft would have nothing to lose by porting it over. Why not maximize their sales and release games they already have made (dsiware) on all platforms like sony does with basically all their psp games to the ps2 and even ps3?
