Yes, I would recommend this to anyone. The game is really fun even for people who does not like time management/rpg type games. Also the original price is $3.99, so buying it for $0.99 is a steal. I myself would buy it, but I have only $0.98 right now in my account it is a real bummer. :'(

Price just went back to $0.99, but it wouldn't let me complete the purchase. Most likely the price increase was a glitch, as it says the last day of the sale is 75% off and the day hasn't passed yet.

Man I'm so mad I missed this! And it's not because I didn't know about it; it's because I was sleeping. Went to sleep at 2 and woke up at 9 and the sale was already over. I woke up and had a new email and push notification telling me that it had dropped. Oh well. I'm sure it will be back to $.99 again sometime.

EDIT: And just as soon as I post that it shows that it's back to $.99. Fantastic!

Not to be a buzzkill because Game Dev Story is worth it for $0.99 but I was disappointed when I got it at a higher price. Basically it's a no-lose sim game were you shoot for a high score. It's fun for a big but that there is little challenge to it killed the enjoyment for me. It seems ackward to emphasize high scoring (aka money) in a sim game versus challenging scenarios or competition. There are hints at more, like seemingly "special" employees which seem almost so maybe I'm missing the big picture but consider this before you rush out and buy on hype alone. I would have given second thought if I had been aware in advance.

I was happy to see a push notification on my iPhone when I woke up stating that Game Dev Story had dropped in price! I bought it as fast as I could! (Thanks, AppShopper app :D)

I played the lite version but it just doesn't seem that fun.

Oh well, I guess I'm just not into these type of games.

Glad I'm not the only one. It took a while for me to get the hang of it, but I'm totally enjoying this game.
