Oooooo, Worms. I played a demo of that game once and it was amazing. Addicting with all that weaponry, etc. This seems like an exact copy except they replace worms with ants. Hope it plays like Worms because if it isn't....I'm not very sure about the entertainment level.

I have to say, the "i" in front of SoldierAnts just doesn't work, it makes the game title a mess and looks like you just threw the "i" in there to help sales, if it works or not.

I have the game and I can assure you that it is very fun to play with controls that are well tuned to the device. If you are looking for a solid worms clone then this is it.

I am unsure of the intended price at the moment but the game went into Apple on the 21st March with a proposed release date of the 10th April

Yep the original Worms title will be coming to iPhone shortly. I'm sure it will take out any competition in line :(

i don't know it seems that some of these clone games have been getting better than the originals... i do think i will wait till both are out though in order to compare them.

Welcome to TA. Judging by your first post, it appears that you are an educated man who researches before he posts. I like that, we have too many people on here who spurt random things without even thinking.

In response to what you said, it is true that they did say it a long time ago. But then again, nobody knows except for Team 17 themselves, so we can only hope.

I played SoldierAnts many years ago on Symbian UIQ and it was fun. But I doubt it could stand its place in comparison to a proper port of Worms.

I wish a pint of beer was only $3 around here.

my problem/thoughts are that,

this is a clone/copy of a game that is supposed to come to the device soon/sometime, also there is no way to try it before one buys it. therefore games like iShoot (i realize it's not teams but, it is similar game play) that have versions to try will get my money before ones that I have no idea about. and i'm sure you are thinking "well you are one person, what do I care?", well there are many like me, we can wait, or buy other games.

we will gamble with .99 but we generally don't at 2.99, not when none of the review sites have gotten a hold of it, or codes have not been provided for word of mouth marketing around here. also, snails reloaded is the old person on the block, and pricing it at the same price, doesn't make it easy for one to say, yeah I'll grab this game that is the same price, and nobody knows about, from a developer that has provided no details to us.

Just to let you know codes have been handed out to many sites including this between 1 to 2 weeks ago but I believe due to the amount of games and apps hitting the device the turnaround time on reviews is quite sometime.

This project has been developed in free time and sorting everything out from dev to publishing is extremely time consuming. A lot of effort has gone into getting the best app possible into the public domain and hopefully people will enjoy it.

I know that. My problem is that lets say I run a site, and can't post it, so all I have to do is pm my friend my web address and message and he can post it for me? :confused: seems to defeat the rule then because it's so easily defeated.

No I don't think my review is a joke. You can see alot of review site just interested in giving not detailed reviews, whom english is not quite understandable and giving away used codes. The video is not mine. I just adding a link to show the feeling to the game play. I see nothing wrong in that.

Worms may have been announced quite some time ago, but only recently have they released it on the PS3. I don't imagine it was a "from scratch" title, as XBL has one, and the PS3 one was just a port. Regardless, their efforts may now be focused more on the iPod Worms (let's hope).

Just to clarify I am not the actual developer of the original but I do know the developer and I helped bring it to the iPhone. It seems like this has strayed off track a bit. Feedback and thoughts on the game?
