I may be a newer member of this forum site, but I am not new to forum sites.

I am a member (a real useful member, who both reads AND posts) of 17 forum sites...snowmobiling, motorcycles, computer, hunting, etc...

What is it with the "senior members" of this site?

Someone asks a question, and the sphincter police chime in and instruct that person to "search" or "that should be in the X forum. WTF? It COULD be that some of the noobs are just finding their way. EVERYONE was a noob at one point!

I've never seen such inhospitable people on a forum site. Usually, if you ask a question, you get a bunch of real responses almost immediately. But not here! Why?

Grow up, people! It's a fun site. Don't turn it into DoucheBag Central!

not everyone here is a flamer -- just some (yeah, they get on my nerves too). but i understand their frustration, as people simply searching would keep the forums less cluttered and have quality, useful threads.

While I agree with you, this thread is going to go nowhere fast. For what it's worth, I try to send the especially smarmy ones PM's, but it isn't very effective. People put a lot of value on post count around here for some reason.
