Hey I know this is not the right place but I couldn't find the Aralon thread in 'iPad Games'.

Will there be any updates for Aralon to take advantage of the new iPad's improved graphics and processing power?

not to say that its in the bag, but there should be able to be at least some crossover from the Mac version to the iPad version.

I think you're talking about Mac, but yeah I'm holding off on the Paladin until I get a new iPad. Can't wait.

Josh, how about adding OpenFeint support and enabling online save game trasnfer between devices? It is safe and works properly in games, Galaxy on Fire 2 for instance.

Real Time Soft Shadows
(some) higher res models
(some) higher res textures

This shot is shown with 16x multisampling

This is not final, so ignore that stretchy icon on the top left.

I would much rather see the implementation of more itemization than better graphics technology.

I love what Aralon represents on the iOS platform - it's really the closest thing out there to a full-size RPG. However, there seems to be a seriously lack of interesting itemization, and there is little or no progression as you level. I find myself using the same non-magical items I've been using for 10+ levels. Reports from other players state that they are at the end of the story and still using the same items. So far, at L18, I've found ONE item with a stat enchant on it (a ring with +2 endurance near the beginning of the game) and one item that enchants a piece of gear with a stat. That's it!

In the modern era of RPGs, interesting, meaningful and progressing itemization is a big part of the fun. Please improve this!

Don't get me wrong - love the game. It's atmospheric and I'm grateful that someone took on the challenge of producing this for iOS.

My job is to make the game look good, basically. I have nothing to do with the programming of the game, other than making suggestions here and there.
Jason is bringing it over the Mac, so there's a lot of work to be done just with the controls and resolution before changing any of the actual game play.

WOW! - I really REALLY REALLY can't wait for this game! The second I was playing it on my iPod I remember thinking to myself "If only I could play this on my computer..." - now the day has come :) - I can't wait!

Any estimates on price? or time until release?

The screens look fantastic in the smaller size, but textures look low resolution in the bigger view. Would be amazing to bring these changes over to the iPad 2 version, though. I would even re-buy it for the iPad 2 if you were inclined to release a separate version that has a larger file size than that of the first Aralon. Anxious to see what the final Mac Aralon looks like.

This would be stunning on a Retina Display. Please, please prepare an iPad 2/iPhone 5 version alongside this that receives many of the overhauls. Seriously, I'd pay twice for Aralon!

I can't wait to play this on my Mac.

I know it's early in the process, but will we be able to possibly move a Saved Game character from an iOS device to a Mac and vice versa?

The Shadowspire mines should be marked on your map. The entrance is in the Outlands, along one of the edges of the lava-pit area.

I seldom finish the RPGs I play on my iPod Touch, but playing it on a Mac will be a whole new experience!

I am still looking forward to this! A few questions...

Will this be Mac App Store only, or will you put it on Steam, too? It may sound like blasphemy, but I would love to see a steam play version of this (support for Mac and Windows both with one purchase), since I am a huge Apple fan, but game on a self built gaming PC hooked up to my TV.

I think an indie game like this would be well received by the Steam community, if it was available for both Mac and PC.

After playing through Aralon several times on various iOS devices I remembered that CMG announced it would be coming to the mac..
Is this still true? How is development going? Will we be seeing a mac version of Aralon any time soon?

Please make better animations. I didnt mind them on a mobile device, but they should be good on a Mac.

Yeah, the animations are a bit too crappy. Agree with Klemen.
