7 Days: Zombie Horror game

Hello to all!
I'm Antonio, developer from StormBASIC, creators of the game Ankagua3D.
Now we are finishing our next game, a survival horror game, called 7 Days Apocalypse!, that will be uploaded to the AppStore next week.
The game features a fully 3D environment, differents views, history mode and of course survival mode, high scores, weapons, etc.!

Looks pretty cool. As a 3D developer myself, I can definitely say you deserve credits for going fully 3D. With skeletal animation, no less.

Of course, is a "Smash TV" like game, so, as iDracula is like "Smash TV", 7Days is like iDracula :)
The game has a history mode, with 7 levels. Survival it's simply a game mode (but a funny one!)

I don't know if anyone has tried the other game from the developer Ankagua3D, but the graphics and movement are done well in that game. If they're done half as well in 7 Days, this could be something that appeals to everyone.

I'm really looking forward to this one. Hopefully, the approval process for this game goes smoothly in the next two weeks. The video of this game looks sick and can't wait to shoot the hella outta some zombies.

Looks good! I like the graphics. I prefer if a game is going to be similar to iDracula.....that it have some type of RPG mode (an RPG iDracula would be great!) But the graphics look really nice so for $2, I would probaly pick it up!

Nice video! Some excellent visual effects too (no seriously, I mean the ghosbuster style green ghoul!). It will help with the wait for Ghostbusters! So if Albie says it's good, I'll just HAVE to get it! :D

The zombies remind me of Zombie Invasion (That's a compliment btw!). Just noticed the choice in weaponry: kill your living dead Lara Croft style, Ed Gein style, or Peter Venkman style... I love it. Won't wait for Albie's opinion, StormBASIC I dig your sense of humor, and just because of that you've got a sale! :D

I wouldn't worry too much about cleavage. Put some cleavage on your hunter in iDracula and then you'll have some complaints.

I don't think Palfince meant that the graphics in Attack were great. I think he was doing a comparison between the two opening splash screens and commenting on how good the 7 Days graphics look.

Will this be anything like Crimsonland (the PC/Mac game iDracula borrowed heavily from)? Randomized enemy placement, perks, poweups, big weapon variety, etc?

The graphics in the actual gameplay look terrible! Plus the gameplay itself looks bad. What video are you guys watching? Comparing this to iDracula or even iZombie is an insult.

The music and the art on the splash screen are excellent.

The dev has been pretty responsive to feedback (they have another game called Ankagua3D and is adding additional levels and control options based on community feedback), and so this is almost a no-brainer for me. No offense to the iDracula fans, but I never really thought that game was particularly deep but to each his own.

This is the first horror/zombie game I've bought (well I'm committed to buying, have to wait for it to be available of course!), and it's only because of the Lara/Ed/Peter humor AND the graphics. NOt the first time I've come to realise that different people have completely different expectations of what good graphics should look like. Probably a good thing!:cool:

What is history mode?

The 3rd-person view is an option of the game, and can be changed anytime while playing. The left pad is movement, and the right one is for rotation and shoot. When you touch the right one, the girl starts shooting, and if also you move the thumb, she change the direction of the shoots.

The game is pure arcade. The history mode are a set of 7 missions, every one with an special objetive.
For example, on the Level 2 you have to protect the Dr.Cupper from zombies. If she die, you die also, on level 4 you have to find some biohazard containers, etc.

I think this is a unique idea that would add some variety to the game. It'd be better than everyone using the now standard green iTunes blood. And, it would visually look better.

A number of apps with red blood have been accepted, eg Zombieville. I think an important difference with Alien Mangle and Hill Billy is that they both had red blood splash on the screen.

alien mangle was also rejected and had to change their blood to green..i hope this one gets throught thought cause it looks awesome id third person..

Yeah, when it gets rejected and something is changed it feels like we have "lost" a part of the game or something-green blood and aliens attacking sheep felt less natural than zombies too me.

So how is the RANDOMIZATION (the most important aspect to me in games, and I'm not sure why)?

Like in the Arcade Mode are the baddies coming out from different entry points each time with random drops?

Well, the enemy spawn, class of enemy and item drops are all random. So, the Survival mode is really random, with increasing difficulty.

Should leave just enough time to get my teeth into Ankagua! Submissions seem to take 6-7 days when before it was 5-6, and before that 4-5. Spring is here, birds are singing, the weather is improving outside, and I'm really beginning to feel like getting the chainsaw out... keep those zombies coming! :D

I agree the green blood doesn't look half bad. But if Attack from the Dead passed with red blood, why wouldn't 7DA? And btw, have the ghouls that were green now become red in the colour swap?

I think they didn't want to risk having it delayed...you know how that goes. I don't know about the green/red ghouls. In any case, the game is looking good, and of course, I'm a big fan of chainsaws...in games that is.

Has anyone seen the new game tap of the dead? I have it and it's really REALLY bloody, so if that got accepted...

The blood is on the screen though not spurting out, so I know that makes a difference.

There are 3 class of ghost: White,Green and Red.
White and Red ones attacks you, Green trap you!

Any plans for future updates? How about some walking animations to get rid of the moonwalking effect, at least? Also, I couldn't tell in the videos but is there a delay when turning or is it instant? If it's not instant, that could get pretty annoying when there are a lot of enemies.
