Jailbreak Issue

Firstly, sorry to make a new thread but I just wanted a visible thread for my question to be answered and fix my precious ipod!!!

Here is how it goes down:
So I decided to use QuickFreedom (I guess a mistake) and everything went according to plan, but at the end in the middle of restore there was an error message saying:
The ipod could not be restored. An unknown error occured (13).

This is obviously not good. Any help?

So, I just X'ed out the error and am going to try again, but I am currently waiting for my ipod to be refilled, but I was wondering if I need to sync to ipod when they are already in itunes, or can I go ahead and try again without refilling my ipod?

I downloaded QuickFreedom and Custom221. Is that what I need?

Try using quick pwn or the other one they recomended in the other thread

So, I tried again and again no success, but this time it is worse. When I do the 10 second home and sleep reset and it tells me to restore I click the button and an error says:
Software for this ipod is not currently available. Make sure you have the latest version of itunes and try again.

I updated itunes and still no luck. Any help??? PLEASE

My friend did the same thing. i'm assuming you arent going ALL THE WAY through quickfreedom. once you put into DFU mode there is a "start pre-jailbreak" button which you have to press and let in run the exploit before restoring. your welcome :)

What did I tell you worldcup? I told you RedTool specifically. Go use that, and retry. Error 13 occurs when the patches are sent incorrectly, and the computer suddenly disconnects it.

Ya, I know, but currently my ipod won't turn on or anything can I still try to jailbreak???

So, I am using redtool, and have created firmware and everything, but now m ipod won't go into DFU mode. I already have it off, I hold both for 10 and home for 30 but nothing happens.
Help?

EDIT: Also, itunes keeps recognizing me in recovery mode and tells me to restore (which I can't due to previous error), yet redtool has nothing and only tells me to try again.

You need to download the Lib USB installation file in Windows before it can successfully jailbreak. I think that's like the first step in Quick Freedom. Maybe that's your problem.

Oops, I did that for QuickFreedom but not for redtool, so that likely explains why in redtool it could never tell that I was in DFU mode.
