As for my pov: I was really excited about Rolando but it didn't keep my attention very long. Galaxy on Fire looks great but I'm not really into 3D fighters. My opinion would be to buy a bunch of cheaper games instead. Flight control still keeps my attention!

Rolando is the most iPhone-y iPhone game on the App Store. It really takes great advantage of all the input methods. Galaxy on Fire is a great game, but everyone should really own Rolando, it's a classic.

You are comparing different genres in this case but in your comparism your comparing things in the same genre.
A better comparism would be casino royale or march of the penguins. Or wheat germ to cookies. Or a math book to tom sawyer. You can't compare them.

Reporting a thread is fine, posting that something needs to be locked, calling someone a newb and telling them to search, and other things which don't contribute to the discussion is what I'd like to see less of.

If you don't like a thread, hit your back button. If the thread is breaking the rules and you feel like reporting it, report it then hit your back button. I've seen way too many otherwise decent threads lately railroaded in to off topic bandwagon discussions about how something is posted in the wrong forum and how they should have searched.

Okay, unlike you assholes I will actually answer the question. I have both, and while rolando is more polished and awesome looking and stuff, I just prefer the shooting, flying, upgrading, etc. in GoF than the puzzles in Rolando. But I usually prefer action-y games, so that might be my opinion.

Also, you weenies think GoF is hard? Seriously people. I was stuck on mission 6 trying all the evasion strategies discussed on the forum. My friend noticed my struggling and I explained to him that I had to get the super powerful ship to half health. He asked to try, flew straight at it shooting, and won on the first try. Worked for me too. After that, I rarely had to continue. Difficulty's fine to me, so I dunno what you people are talking about.

Okeydokey sorry about that. It just bothers me that so many people get angry when someone makes a thread that is similar to another. Why should someone have to look at an old thread to get answers to a question? Maybe the apps have changed, who knows? Also, what if you have a specific question not asked on that thread? Are you supposed to post it and hope that someone stumbles upon it? It's not that big of a deal people, so stop complaining so much.
