Why JB for it when all it does is remove the cache which you can remove in the settings anyway?

It reduces the size of the cache, so less is stored, and stops it from getting backed up in iTunes too. Unless you're going to frequently delete the cache manually, and never backup in iTunes (and delete what's the there now), it's the not same.

seems like were not going to have to wait long for an untethered 4.3.3 anyways - http://www.iphonestalk.com/ios-4-3-3-doesnt-fix-untethered-jailbreak/

Yep. I'm going to update and rejailbreak tonight. Any reason to do a restore, or can we just update and then rejailbreak?

I have OCD with my iPhone so I have to restore as new... lol - But I don't see why a "normal" person couldn't just update and rejailbreak if their not having any issues with iOS. :D

An untethered jailbreak for 4.3.3 is already out. That was fast.
Guess I'm finally going to upgrade from 4.1. I'm annoyed that I still have the alarm clock bug . If it wasn't for that, I would've kept 4.1 but oh well.

I'm doing a fresh restore, then updating and jailbreaking with redsnow. I'll tell you how it goes :)
edit: it took forever to reinstall 25gigs of apps, but then it all went perfectly. I did have one moment in the middle of jailbreaking when redsnow crashed. I just left the "don't sent error report" window until it finished-- the software had already downloaded so the JB process continued anyway without any errors.
also, I'm running Windows XP.

Time conspired against me and I haven't gotten around to the update and jailbreak.
A side note/question - does anyone else find that Cydia is not updating your SHSH blobs? I'm running 4.3.2, but Cydia only shows blobs for 4.3 and earlier. Any way to fix this?
EDIT: as it happens I launched Cydia today and ... for some reason it finally updated and now shows me having an SHSH blog for 4.3.3. Which is funny since I'm not running 4.3.3 yet, but I'll take it! 4.3.1 and 4.3.2 are still missing. Weird.
