Looks a little bit like My Kingdom for a Princess 1 & 2. Has anybody played this yet? I really like Kingdom, so I'll be waiting to hear how this compares.

Would like to know more about this two if anyone has tried it yet? :)

Looks indeed like My Kingdom for a Princess 1 & 2. which I love playing.
2 is even better.
This game looks the same, but with less levels it seems.. so not sure

While Island Tribe seems quite similar to My Kingdom for the Princess superficially, the core of the game is entirely different. The main objective not to build a road, but rather to recreate totems, collect certain ingredients, or pick up special items. :)

Is the game timed, like the Princess games? I really didn't like that aspect of it...

It is timed, but like Royal Envoy and My Kingdom for the Princess, you can finish a level even if you run out of time (you just don't earn gold).
I have not purchased this game, so I can't give an opinion (I'm still slogging my way through Royal Envoy).

Its similar to royal envoy, its timed but only for score bonus, not as polished as royal envoy but worth the price.

Down to $1.99 now. I'll bite at this price.

Yeah. Thinking about getting this one, too. I've been following this and Royal Envoy. Seems like various genres with a twist. I'm interested in seeing what this style of game is all about and checking it out.

I finished Royal Envoy at normal difficulty and probably won't play through it at expert difficulty. It's ok as far as the strategy component but eventually you know what to do and it just becomes a matter of not wasting any seconds hitting selections immediately after they become available (but not too soon). In theory you can keep shaving additional seconds but who wants to have to be absolutely perfect? But I did get multiple hours out of it so I'm not complaining.
I probably won't get Island Tribe unless I hear a clear reason it's better/different.

A Lite version has been released. Played through it and enjoyed it. I played several levels of Royal Envoy and it seemed just like Build-A-Lot wrapped in a different UI. Island Tribe is quite different, focusing on resource gathering.

HAs anyone tried the lite (or full) version on an ipad 2?
Even after deleteing/reinstalling, rebooting the device, clearing all open apps, ect, the game crashes at startup on my ipad. Any similar problems for you?

Full is working fine on my iPad2.

The Lite version works well on my iPad 2, without crashes ;)
So far, I prefer Royal Envoy, but Island Tribe is a nice TM too with a very pleasant art. The weather effects are a good idea, I like putting water on a lightning fire :p
lol you guys just like saying "ive got an ipad2"
