hmmmm... what are your opinions on downloading games that have been pulled from the appstore?


I TOTALLY would have thrown down the .99 for the Astroboy platformer... but I missed out on it while it was available...


I'm sure this is a touchy subject... and I'm sure you know that even if you say it's wrong to get an app illegally that has been pulled from the AppStore, I will most likely still end up downloading a cracked version of it. - just hope that doesn't get me removed from this group, because I TOTALLY respect the hard work that goes into making iOS games, and only (though you probably won't believe this...) jailbroke my iPod so I could downgrade an app that I already bought (Grokion... I'm one of two people who have beaten it with NO ARMOR UPGRADES AND NO ENERGY TANKS...) - after I beat version 1.1 of the app, I wanted to try the MUCH harder v1.0... TOTALLY worth it, as I'm still working on beating it.

Anyway, thoughts, opinions, debate away! =oD

I usually google... for instance... "dead space 1.0 ipa" - and usually get at least 5 or (for more popular games) more links to download sites... and report what links I can find. I hate knowing that games I've LEGALLY PAID FOR are being enjoyed by people who don't care to support developers...

It's a good idea to spend more time on the indie developer games too... as there's more than a few that I TOTALLY respect, and that DESERVE the little amount of money they're charging for their 12-24 months of time working on some AMAZING games...

Everyone should spend like 10-15 mins a day and just report the links the the file-hosting sites. It's what I do, and I know it doesn't help all too much, but it's still doing something. Just visit apptr**r and report the links you find there...thats the biggest site for pirate apps.
