Yeah the dragons weren't too bad I was able to take them out when I had a couple monsters in the 30s. I've had one error sometimes when a monster is injured and I got the monster section to swap them out and it pops up a box about 5 or 6 times and says something about child I'll see if I can get it to happen again.
wow you beat the dragon there too? Woops. Clearly didnt make that hard enough. The areas beyond where the Dragons were are not ready yet!
You can find monsters that summon other ones in Safaris (area 2-3)
Beta ready Worlds:
The first World
The two Worlds North of the first World.
The World east of the first World, but only down to where the River is running
The World North of that, except the dungeon and the pois beyond it
2 Worlds North of that
I haven't had the Chimaeras / worms summon anything yet where are these ones located? By the Ancient town? With eggs the only higher level one I got was metal slime which was 38 but I got a dawn walker that was level 10 or something around there so it seems like it's kind of random!
Yup, miss spelled the sprite frame.. Will be fixed for the next update.
Great to know that you like the wheel! We realized that there is no such thing as a minimum level in the code itself as you suggested.. So we made it so you can catch very rare monsters on the wheel except you get them at Level 1. Which is kind of weird because you can have a level 1 form of a monster that is an evolved form of another monster. What are your thoughts on this?
We made summoned monsters uncapturable for now.
By caught monsters menu, are you referring to Monster Management (where you pick your party members?). We chose not to show monster names there for space concerns. Do you find this inconvenient?
As far as catching the random monsters from the chimaera/worm, this is trickier. You may be right to not allow catching them, but maybe it would not be so bad if they could be caught and just devolve to their first form at level 1. I kind of like being able to catch rare or powerful guys from this, but it may be impractical.
Another issue that I'm sure you already know about is the caught monsters menu. You can't see the names against the black.
By the way, you mentioned that the egg monsters can only be caught at their minimum levels. I want to mention that when the monsters are summoned by chimaera or worm, they are well below their minimum levels
Regarding the high level monsters acquired from eggs: I think only allowing monsters below your highest level would be a mistake. One of the coolest features so far, one that I really enjoy, is the egg slot machine. I love getting a really rare or high powered monster. If I may make a suggestion, this could be handled one of three ways:
1) You can get the monster from the egg, but not add it to your team until your highest monster's level matches this monster
2) Similar to pokemon, have it 'misbehave' until it is within your control range (i.e. make it randomly not attack, or make it attack your own guys
3) If you insist on not allowing anything above your own level, you should make all the monsters that are obtainable by egg very rare or only obtainable by egg
By the way, I just got a level 58 Spike Monster from an egg.
Got an error with Energy spirit seems like the sprites for one of his attacks are missing! Also tend to crash when I have an injured monster and try to swipe down to swap them out but will work fine when the game restarts.
Please Do utilize this feature (if you are not already)! It really helps!
In combat make a large swipe that goes DOWN, UP (single motion) and a secret menu appears. This shows the latest unreported error messages you have had. Touch one to get an auto email filled out and then you can put in any extra details. This will only work if the game crashed in a way that we had a chance to make a message. If its not there, let us know on this thread.
That does indeed sound like a memory issue. Do you have a bunch of apps running behind it? You can get the list of apps running by tapping on home button twice.
The monsters in the first world - yeah that was just carelessness on our part. We were testing those monsters and we put them near the first city so we can get to them easily
The Water Dragon bug is concerning... we are looking into it now.
This is kind of a reaction after Araziza's comment a few posts back, but I'm thinking about showing, for each monster, how many more levels it takes to evolve them - just so that players can invest the right amount of time in monsters that evolve sooner rather than later. We want people to see evolutions happen more often. What do you guys think?
WOW, Sorry about that.. you were never supposed to beat those 3 Dragons. They were placed there to stop you guys from going further.
We just realized the problem with Devil Worm and Manticore's skill. I think what we are gonna have to do is make monsters that are summoned into battle by other monsters not be available for capture.
The injury bug is something we are working on, havent quite figured it out yet.
The gold egg issue: You are absolutely right. The problem there is that some monster that are evolved forms of other monsters, can only exist at a minimum level of whenever the evolve level would have been (in tiger swarms case, 38). We are considering making change to the code so that the Egg only shows monsters that have minimum level below the level of your highest level monster.
Steel Snake bug: Thank you for the report we know what caused it, we'll get it fixed asap.
