I have also had a lot of unnecessary days pass. You have to leave the town to access the menu in order to see what quests you are currently working on.

I was just wondering, would it not be better to only make it a new day if the hero moves out of the town? Because I keep on accidentally pressing the town when I intend to leave the town, so a day passes.

Show the floor layout currently discovered. Showing where you are, stairs, teleport, and rooms with monsters in them that are visible.

It could be collapsable, so it won't be in the way for people who don't want to use it.
