4X Gamers

This is a group for enthusiasts of the 4X (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit & eXterminate) genre. If you love to curl up with your iPad for evening of turn based or RTS games like Starbase Orion, Red Conquest, Gratuitous Space Battles, Civilization Revolution or Age of Conquest then you will be at home in this group. Fans of deep space shooters such as Galaxy on Fire 2, Dangerous, Galaxy Trader or the upcoming Drifter will find like minded gamers as well. Since this sub genre is quite niche, discovery can be an issue. Together we can keep a collective eye out for 4X games on the AppStore and share our thoughts on them. There are already some good multiplayer 4X games. It always helps to know others that enjoy these types of games. Gamer Center ID sharing is encouraged to help players get GC recommendations for 4X games. Also, feel free to discuss 4X games you enjoy on other platforms. Gratuitous Space Battles was ported from Mac to iOS after a lot of fan interest.

I have sent the builds via testflight. * The Add-On button does not work yet so if you touch it, it will crash the game! * First thing to do when you open the game: go to Menu>Option>CursorPosition and selet Memory instead of Default, I think this will improve the gameplay experience a lot. Please feel free to post screen shots and thoughts of the game on our TA thread (it will help us get the game noticed). http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=119904 Few Tips: You have to eat to level up. The points you gain in battle is for unlocking skills.

Bullet Hell Fanatics

Bullet Hell/SHMUPS on the iOS are starting to grow... join our group, post about new (or old...) bullet hell/shmup games... share your thoughts, opinions, whatever, also compete in our monthly scoring competitions!!! This group is not limited to JUST iOS games... Check the weekly competition in the Competition thread on our page. If you have an idea for a competition, feel free to post it here. Keep in mind that competition ideas that include lite users will probably end up having more people enter them. You will also be named next to the final competition scores, and when the competition starts, I'll be sure and let everyone know who suggested the idea. For anyone new to the bullet hell/shmup genre, check our newly created "iOS shmup list" where members comment on their favorite games. You can use this as a starting point in your bullet hell/shmup journey. =D
