i came up with some ideas with the controls....Basketball games,:D

one virtual joystick and two buttons(A & B)

Speed is determined with the Joystick, like in Gangstar and other Gameloft games

    Offense:

    Passing - A
Direct Pass - Hold A, symbols will appear on top of players, touch one to pass
Crossovers/Spins - B, combine with joystick to perform different crossovers and spins
Shooting - Double-tap B(second tap will determine on how well you shoot)
    Alley-oop - Drag A upwards
    Layup/Dunk - Drag B upwards

    Defense:

    Passing - A
Direct Pass - Touch player to pass
    Steal - B
    Rebound/Block - Double-tap B
    Take Charge - Hold B
    Defense Assistant - Hold A
Call Plays - additional icons will make the screen too crowded maybe gestures may use with this

if all will be implemented well,i think i will be satisfied with it

    what you think?hahahahaha

We are still unsure if we will ever see Tekken coming to our loved iDevice
and good controls will help us have it on our device

i just thought that maybe they can use the directional pads from Blades of fury
doing combo is just a bit different, doing combos in blades of fury has no enough depth i think.....

the virtual d-pads can be used in combos by sliding, example you tap left and slide to down going to right, this can be combined by using the concept of FIFA
there could be two or three or even four virtual buttons on the other side, and combos can be performed by sliding from button to button
for example,do the sliding on the d-pad using your left thumb and slide from one button to the other button going to any other button or even going back to the first button, this way, many combination can be done to perform tons of combos

if all will be implemented well, this could revolutionize this genre because you don't have to worry about pains on your fingers doing all the stuffs just to perform combos, you can now just slide without hurting

oops, that was long,i don't know if my post even worth, hahahaha

    ControlPad idea

    iControlPad,Bone Pro blah blah
i don't know if any of its kind will ever come out

but i'll use icontrolpad for my idea

why not have it in two sides, one with the d-pad and one with action buttons, both with shoulder button

they can be attached even withput the attachment of the other side

    example schemes....

    MC:Sandstorm;(D-pad side only)

the d-pad side only is to be attached to the iPhone
    use d-pad for walking,of course
and the same control on aiming and looking-dragging on the screen
    shoulder button for shooting

    Dungeon Hunter;(Action Buttons side only)

in this game, only the other side is attached
walking is done by second scheme on the game-tap where you want to go
and action buttons is for attack, and the others for skills/magic

then,in games with racing and fighting genre
    both sides should be attached

i don't know how it will be done, but if done well,it would be awsome
this way, uniquenes of iDevice Gaming will be kept
touch screen experience will be almost the same, your other thumb/finger can still reach the screen with some games, and with the other type of games, you can have a complete console experience

that's it,hope it's not confusing,i'm in a hurry coz i don't want my mom to see me this early on our PC,:D

i like the red and blue buttons in NBA Live, maybe the dragging can be used in Tekken,it feels like the analog of PSP :D

Combos in tekken and similar can be really hard to time (especially the longer advanced ones) on REGULAR controls/PSP etc. These kind of games relay on having opimized and superfinetuned controls for them to be fun. Remember Street Fighter II on SNES or Virtua Fighter on Sega Dreamcast!? That was unmatched precision in terms of controls. I think it would be an absolute nightmare to port a thing like this to a crappy, laggy virtual device. Just my 5 cents.
